“I think he is mad at me.” Thalia admitted.

“She ran into Skylar Serideen, yesterday.” Nula explained. “So she was a little grumpy when Rvan asked Thalia how they knew each other.”

A small muscle in Draco’s jaw tightened when he heard Skylar’s name, but he spoke in a conversational tone. “Well, I’ll talk to him and see what is going on. In the meantime, I want you all to do four laps on the flying course.”

Draco walked towards Rvan bedroom. He knocked on Rvan’s door once and asked, “Rvan, are you in there?”

Rvan was sitting on his window, checking to make sure everything was in place. And he wasn't opening that door. No… he was leaving. And then he jumped out of the window ledge and changed into nothing but shadow and darkness.

Then he flew.

Draco knocked again and third time, before opening Rvan’s door. “Rvan, I heard about what happened yesterday and you should know that none of Thalia’s anger was directed at––“ He froze when saw the open window. “No.” He muttered and rushed to the windowsill. The breeze brushed against Draco’s skin, making the beast inside him restless and reading to fly. Draco gripped the windows frame. Oh how he wished he could jump out into the open sky and search for Rvan, but those days were over. And Draco didn’t have time to feel noglastic. The Council would use Rvan’s escape as reason justify experimenting on the boy.

Draco dashed from Rvan’s room.

He couldn’t let that happen.

Draco summoned his fire protégés and ordered them to search for Rvan. The fire protégés split up to find Rvan. Kyle went with Thalia. Nula went with Gregory. Draco began searching on the ground.

Scene setter: Gregory and Nula are now flying side by side looking for Rvan.

“Nula, why do we always wind up being partnered together?” Gregory asked while scanning the ground.

"That's because Kyle's brain produces excessive amounts of dopamine whenever he's with Thalia and they are Draco's OTP," Nula replied nonchalantly.

Gregory’s eyes went wide. “What?”
Gregory didn’t understand the first thing the kid had said, but to be honest Gregory rarely understood Nula to begin with. However, Gregory was hopping he misheard the last thing Nula said.

"I shan't be bothered to explain it to you," Nula replied diving downwards slightly scanning the ground.

Rvan landed in his dragon form, then shrunk into his human form. He examined his old home, the original camouflage gone and it was basically destroyed. He needed to find a way back to this life. If he could just disappear… (The irony)

Skylar decide to go hiking to day because the forest was the one place where she couldn’t hear Sorina and her father, Josh, fight. Now, Skylar was used to her parents fighting because they did—if Skylar was being honest with herself—fight more than normal parents and hardly spent time together these days (which actually wasn’t hard since they did live in a mansion). Although, Skylar wasn’t used to her parents fighting daily and fighting for hours on end. Lately, it seemed like they could barely stand breathing by each other. And that scared Skylar because the timing was too perfect. Her mother is accused of sleeping with another man, her mother looked nervous, then her parents start fighting. It wasn’t a pretty equation. Skylar felt that she could handle her parents getting divorced b/c she had been preparing for it for a while…but she wasn’t ready to except the fact that her mother may actually be sleeping with other men.

Rvan heard the twigs crunching. He readied a shadow. Today, he would not hide, he would fight.

Skylar walked out from around the corner

Rvan turned into a flipping shadow, but not before she saw him.

Skylar aw Rvan for a second and then he disappeared into shadow. Skylar blinked, half believing her mind was playing tricks on her.

“Rvan?” She asked.

"What are you doing here?" Rvan questioned, coming out after realizing she saw him.

“I could ask you the same thing.” Skylar countered. “But I am hiking.”
