Ryan didn't know what was going through her mind and he barely knew what had happened now or in the past. He just wanted her to know he was there for her. He loved her.

(I like Coolle. I think it sounds cooler.)
He was her anchor. Something that tethered her to reality. Someone familiar she could always come back to. She needed him here. She needed him to be her other half. She loved him.
(…Lol)
(Who is Belle's Real Beast? You'll find out on the next episode of this weird soap opera)
(It really is a soap opera, isn't it? And that's why I love it.)
Ryan took a deep breath, it hurt him that she was upset, it made him feel restless like there was something he needed to do when in reality all he could do was be there for her.
(Same. Sometimes it makes me cry… Sigh)
Her tears slowed before finally stopping. She didn't want to let him go. She felt that if she did, he'd disappear.
"You want some waffles?" He laughed a little.
She smiled and giggled. "Waffles sound great. Crying makes me hungry."
Ryan nodded and helped her up before reclaiming his seat and digging in.
She took her seat and her own plate, starting to eat herself.
(Eat herself? would that be cannibalism or suicide? Lol)
(I think both.)
Ryan looked up at her in between bites. His eyes darted away so he wouldn't get caught.
Her eating was slow, the conversation still fresh in her mind, replaying over and over like a broken record. She pushed the food around her plate a little before eating each bite.
Ryan finished his food but didn't say anything, he just sat back in his seat. She needed time and Ryan had nothing but.
Cooper picked himself up, face freshly tear stained. He needed to be strong in front of the council. They wouldn't take well to him having a truss with the angel girl so he decided to hide it.
She finished her own food, slowly placing her fork down and her head in her hands. Her head pounded, tortured by the conversation that had just ensued.
"Belle?" Ryan watched her from across the table, "Do you need some time? Because I can make myself busy for a while,"
Cooper's truss was the end of him. He was unconditionally bound to Belle for the rest of his life. It was like a gravitational pull, like he was a magnet but she was facing to wrong way. Everything else in his life had become secondary, not unimportant just not on top of his priorities, the only thing left to matter was her. He had a deep need to protect her but he couldn't she chose Ryan and that was his job. That broke Cooper
If the truss would last his entire life, couldn't he just end the truss by ending his life?
"No…please…stay…I can't…be alone…anymore…" Her words were slow, painful.
"Okay," Ryan was calm in his speaking, "I'm not going anywhere,"
She glanced up. She looked 20 years older. All of the stress had certainly taken a toll on her.
"Do you want to watch a movie or something?" Ryan didn't know what to do.
"Please? I'd kill to do anything other than just sit here."
Ryan jumped to his feet, "What would you like to watch?" He had no ideas and honestly would watch anything.
"I don't know. Anything, really." She was feeling too scatterbrained to think clearly.
Ryan put a movie in and curled up on the end of the couch, of she wanted to sit by him it was open but he made sure to make room on the opposite end just in case.
She sat next to him, cuddling into his side and resting her head on his shoulder.
The movie started up. Ryan spoke softly, "If you need to talk……" Don't push.
