Ryan was fascinated by them, at least Convel was as he laid his enormous head down, sniffing at the sparks curiously.
Ryan was fascinated by them, at least Convel was as he laid his enormous head down, sniffing at the sparks curiously.
The longer she slept, the stronger they got. More and more, like a shower of small yellow sparks pouring from her chest.
Convel whimpered at them, was she healing? Or was something wrong? The wolf began to growl like he could scare them away.
She stirred slightly, the sparks starting to weaken. She relaxed back into her sleep and they strengthened again.
Convel nuzzled his face into her neck, his cold, wet nose touched her chin. All he could do was wait. He listened to the beating of her heart and wagged his tail.
The cold made her shiver, curling up tighter. Her heartbeat was slow, sluggish, trying to make up for everything it lost.
He fell asleep in an effort to warm her with his thick fur. Soft snoring echoed from his nose.
She was mumbling something under her breath, quiet and inaudible to anyone but her. She might not be a sleepwalker, but she is a sleeptalker.
(Bork)
(I've never had a character that talks in her sleep…now I do!)
(Belle: wakes up to giant dog. Ryan! Wtf?!)
(Nah, to be completely honest she's been through too much shit today to be surprised by anything.)
(You want to skip to the morning?)
(Please. That'd be lovely.)
Convel blinked to life at the sound of the people outside. He wish he didn’t have such good hearing. He likes sleep.
The sparks had since stopped overnight but Belle was still dead asleep. She would be for quite a while longer, if not interrupted.
The noises outside grew to be too much in his ears, he let out a low growl before barking
She shot up, panic overtaking her system before realizing that nothing was wrong, he'd just woken her up. "Goddamnit Convel you scared the shit out of me." She rubbed her eye of sleep.
Convel wagged his tail, the human was awake, this delighted him. Was she mad? He whimpered, not intending to aggravate her.
She sighed with a smile and pet his head. "I'm not mad, you just scared me, that's all. Warn a girl before you wake her like that, okay?"
His tail continued to thump on the bed. He licked her face, his ears perked happily.
She laughed, her voice still rough and wispy. "Hey buddy, good morning to you too."
He put his head on her chest looking at her curiously, the sparks were gone. Did they hurt her? He sniffed like they were just hiding.
She was a bit confused until it clicked. "Ooooh those things. Yeah it's hard to regenerate blood quickly so those sparks mean that while I slept I was conjuring blood. It doesn't hurt, I'm fine."
Convel looked at her with mischievous blue eyes. He stood up bowing and wigging his tail in the air playfully.
She swung her legs over the edge of the bed, looking around curiously.
Convel let out a small playful bark, he looked at her with the same mischief filled eyes as his wagging tail made his entire bowed body move.
She chuckled a little at his enthusiasm. "What is it boy? You got something to show me?"
He dropped and rolled on the his back, he looked at her though she was upside down to him. He stared expectantly.
She rolled her eye with a smile. "Wolf, yeah, right. In your dreams sweetheart." She rubbed his belly like he was a dog.
