“Yeah,” he gasped from the floor and let out a strangled scream. Nails dig into his head.

Lillian walked in and gently sat down next to him, "You doing okay?"

Darren refrained from screaming but his shoulders shook as he cried, his head throbbed and his nails dug in more.

She sank to the floor, sliding down against the wall. She combed her fingers through her hair. "What to do, what to do." She muttered.

Lillian gently took his hands. Her eyes were filled with concern for him. She held them in hers quietly humming.

Darren turned into her, burying his face in her shoulder as he screamed in pain, “Sorry.” He cried hard. “I’m so sorry,”

Ryan looked at Belle with horror stricken confusion he could hear Darren and shook.

Lillian wrapped her arms around him, "It's fine. Everything's okay."

She glanced over, suppressing her amused smile. "What's with the look? I don't know what you expected."

Darren’s next scream turned into a growling roar and his size grew. Balthazar shook a bit, trying to adapt to the humans pain.

“That poor horrid woman.” He said it jokingly but couldn’t smile. Darren’s screaming was throwing him off.

Lillian let go of him and just sat there. She said calmly, "Hi Balthazar."

The screams hadn't affected her yet. Insanity was still wearing off. She walked over and sat next to him, slipping her hand in his. "Hey, we'll get through this, alright? Darren and Lillian are a team, and we are too. Friends help each other."

Darren’s pain glistened in his expression as his eyes greened. “I didn’t mean to,” he faded back to human form as the pain hit him again.

Lillian sighed as she wrapped her arms back around Darren, "It's fine. I don't care who or what you are. As long as your you."

Darren’s face made a warped painful expression. “It hurts,” he was trying to control his crying.

"You don't know that. Look at everything he's gotten through before. And besides, we're all here to help him along his journey. And it's not just his journey either. It's him and Lillian. Together with the help of friends. He'll get through it, we'll get through it, and while I can't promise that everything will be sunshine and rainbows on the other side, I can promise that we'll all go through it as a team."

Lillian held onto him, "I know. So do whatever you need to, to make it stop hurting. Please I can't bare to see you like this. It hurts me to you know."

Darren’s body melted back into Balthazar. He hated subjecting her to him but the demon could take the pain better than the human. “Hello human,” his deep voice held pain. If something hurt Bal like this it had to hurt Darren.

"You don't know that. Look at everything he's gotten through before. And besides, we're all here to help him along his journey. And it's not just his journey either. It's him and Lillian. “I’m scared,” he whispered. He could hear Balthazar and realized how much pain Darren was in. He turned back to his original form when he was in pain.

Lillian scooched back slightly and looked up to Bal, "Hello Balthazar."

“I don’t mean to scare you Lillian,” he frowned as she scooted away. It hurt him to scare her.

"I'm scared too." Her voice was small, all the strength and confidence it just had gone.

"You didn't. I just didn't want to get crushed that's all," Lillian responded honestly.

He nodded with Darren’s ‘I’m sorry’ look. Balthazar day against the bed and winced, “Gahh headache.”

Lillian laughed slightly, "That all you have to say? Gahh headache?"

"Yeah, he'll be okay." It was more to reassure herself. She didn't think it was possible for such a sad silence to fall over a house like this during a time like this.

“Yes human. Gah. Headache. What more did you want?” He was a little angry. “I see why he has those episodes, I’d kill people too if I had to deal with this.”
