She shook her head, instantly regretting the sudden movement. "No. I'll be fine." Her voice was clipped of all emotion.

He shrugged and wiped his hand before laying his head back, “I’m sorry,” aaaaanndd there’s the sympathy.

She could barely hear the blood in her head was pounding so hard. "You only did what you needed to protect me. Don't beat yourself up over it."

"Do you know how many?"

"No. I don't." She barely moved in order to limit the pain.

He chewed his fingernail nervously, "I should go back,"

"Nooo you don't want to do that. You really don't want to do that. Cause now they're not only looking for me, but they're looking for you too. And I saw a few messages on the way to the labs that said they had a new business partner. Can you guess who they teamed up with? Augustine. We're both royally screwed."

Lillian laughed, "I never thought life without my mom would be this stressful. I thought I would be free from the stress. Nope! Have a demon for a boyfriend, an angel for a friend, and a weird hybrid of the two for another friend. I get you."

"Yeah, your demon boyfriend tried to kill me, you were in a wreck, and Nathaniel hasn't a clue how grave our situation is. He just expects that I can do everything right. Wherever I go is the right place to go. Whatever I do is the right thing to do. If I mess up, he'll have no idea. He'd try to do it, and depending what it was I did, that could end very badly."

Lillian sighed and reached out for Lloyd, "We'll just have to start teaching him. Maybe sign him up for school. That way he has other role models then a bunch of fucked up teenagers."

"I didn't mean there, I meant A-Au– Home,"

Theo layed on his bed, staring at the blurry ceiling. He always took his glasses off when he read as Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire layed on his chest. When he hears the front door open and a figure barges into his room.

Jake was angry, fuming and it was obvious. He was breathing hard with a harsh look painted on his face.

"School? What's human school like for someone his age? I'm going to take a wild guess that it likely doesn't include battle training like it would back at home."

"Even so I really don't recommend that. They already know what just happened, I'm sure of it. Lilac probably called after we left. Even if you go back they won't care about you specifically. Remember, that Society has been hunting me for almost 2 centuries. They'll send over a bunch of the doctors and scientists from my Society and torture you like they did me. Suck out all the information they can cause they know I'm too stubborn to talk." She sighed. "I'm the one who should be sorry. I dragged you into the mess that is my life."

Theo sat up discerning that the blurry figure in front of him was Jake. Who seemed to be angry and upset.

“Jake? What’s wrong?”

Lillian nodded and laughed slightly, "No. It would have crafts and games. Probably teach him math, some science, english, and a bit of history. Definitely give him lots of time to run around and play. Get to know kids his age."

She didn't respond. She couldn't. What could she possibly say? We caused this… Well, not completely but we mostly did.

"I am so tired of my parents! They think they can tell me who to be friends with because god forbid I'm a fag. You know what I think this world has bigger issues than boys whom like other boys,"

Ryan stood up shakily and looked at the door, this would be safer for Belle anyways, right?

"Alright… but how would he get there? I'd let him ride Apollo, but something tells me that would arouse a few questions."

Theo raised his eyebrows at Jake’s angry state,”I totally hear what your saying but what happened with your parents? Did they get mad at you for going to the record shop with me?”

She knew what was about to happen and she knew that there was probably nothing she could do to change his mind about it. She just squeezed her eye shut and grit her teeth in an attempt not to cry.
