"Yeah, a little. Er… w-who are they?" Lloyd asked nervously, quickly trying to hide his wings.

She chuckled. "Well aren't you perky today. And my sleep was fine, thank you."

"This is Rory, and Ryan. Haven't you met Ryan?"

She bit back her smile. "I could get used to this."

Lloyd relaxed his wings a bit, but he still looked very anxious. "Where's Nate?"

Darren pointed to the recliner. "He's right there,"

"This is why I do not drink coffee," He was basically yelling with a dopey smile on his face.

Augustine was a secret society in Elsmore College. They were known to gather in Elsmore to identify potential candidates for membership in college students. Augustine members were aware of the supernatural and were especially interested in vampires along with the magic and science behind their enhanced senses and abilities.

Highly qualified doctors like Grayson Maxfield and Weston Banes experimented on vampires and intended to use what they learned in their research to benefit humanity, such as using vampire blood to cure fatal illnesses and using them to fight wars. However, in order to accomplish this goal, the doctors captured and tortured vampires and other creatures by doing experiments on them to test their theories. One of these experiments resulted in the Hybrid. A hybrid would be deadlier than any werewolf or vampire and could be used to fight the nation's wars with great strength. After finding that these beings were out of control they were executed although some escaped the facility. Augustine sent hunters to kill the escaped hybrids and they thought they were success full until more popped up. They still fear that they hybrids began to reproduce.

Each creature in captivity was given a number and that was used instead of a name. They were kept in empty cells with enchanted bars to ensure no escape and were given a small cup of human blood daily, only enough to keep them alive but not strong.

"Okay," He whispered, bouncing his legs at a fast pace. "Do you know who Rory is?"

"Oh, he's a friend of mine, goes to school with you and Darren and Lillian and, yeah. So we think he might be a wizard that can absorb his power from the space around him! Maybe…"

Her eye shot open. "Wait what! Why didn't you wake me and say something?"

Nathaniel appeared to be sleeping again, and Lloyd relaxed slightly. It was obvious that he worried about Nate a lot.
