I like (most of) the Avengers separately, but the actual Avengers movies are some of my least favourite. I just don't like them as much as a group. The Guardians of the Galaxy, on the other hand, function great as a group. They get along well, fight together well, and are funny together which is…basically everything the Avengers are not when they work as a team.

you're right the movies aren't as good when all the avengers come together. i guess its because the guardians didn't have solo movies, so the whole thing is about them being a family/team, while the avengers movies are about bringing together really, really strong personalities and making them work together
