Darren took Nate carefully so he wouldn't wake up and kissed Lillian on the cheek, "You should rest too,"

Lloyd was already asleep again on the couch. It was definitely clear that he hadn't been living too well. His wings had feathers bent and all over the place, and he generally just looked rather pallid and gaunt.

Lillian sighed, "Yeah, but I don't really feel tired right now."

"Yeah and you don't look tired at all," Darren smiled with sarcasm. He bounced Nate in his arms softly.

Lillian scowled. He could always see through her, "Fine, but I don't want to sleep yet. Paige could come back, and Lloyd's here along with Nate."

"I agree, Paige said five minutes and it's been longer," He sighed. He suddenly realized that Lillian didn't know that he talked to her.

"Y-you talked to her too?" Lillian looked at him curiously.

He nodded slowly, he still wasn't completely sure it happened.

Lillian bit her lip, "I saw her. Sh-she looked like an angel."

(Darren: I still love you
Balthazar: No! No angels human!)

He sighed, "I didn't see her, just heard her. She told me it wasn't my fault."

(Lillian: BABY DON'T HURT ME!)

Lillian sighed, "She says it wasn't my fault either. B-but it is. Isn't it?"

(Lillian: Of course not.
Hugs him.)

"I don't think it's either of our faults… Destiny always has her way," He sighed, he sounded like Paige.

Lillian nodded as she leaned against Darren's side, "I guess."

Darren put his free arm around her, "Do you think she'll come back?"

Lillian smiled softly, "I hope so."
