Mascara painted tears streamed down Talia's cheeks. Her fingers grasped at her head. She moaned painfully. "Paige… Paige… Paige…"
Darren put a hand on her shoulder, "It's okay, you're okay,"
"My dead sister is screaming in my head and can't hear me. Yeah, Darren, I'm fine!" Talia snapped.
He removed his hand, "This happens, you just need to breath,"
Talia swallowed. Paige stopped. A faint, hoarse whisper of something Talia couldn't make out. "She- She stopped screaming."
Lillian rubbed her arm. She looked down, what was she supposed to do to help? Nothing, her mind supplied. Run, the voice said, and go die.
She looked impressed. "I will admit, that is a sword and a half. I have one of those, except mine is a little less, well, protected." She dug in her bag until she pulled out a steel sword with a red and white handle. The red side a painting of hell and the white side a painting of heaven. There was one gem with a black and gold ying yang near the top of the handle. "I haven't used it in a while. I've neglected her." She did a few tricks with it before returning it to her side.
(Ughhhh I should be getting to bed cause I need to get up early to leave tomorrow morning but I don't wanna leave you guys for 5 days!)
Lillian rubbed her arm. She looked down, what was she supposed to do to help? Nothing, her mind supplied. Run, the voice said, and go die.
Lillian? Please don't freak out. I know that you're with my sister…
He took his out of the box, the blue gem lit up when it was in his hands before fading, "Fight me, princess," He held it in front of him. He was fairly good at this, it was a part of his past.
Lillian looked around to see who had said that. No one was there. She hesitantly whispered, "Um, Paige?"
Her own gem gleamed brightly before fading. She held her own out, grinning. There was no way this dude was beating her at her own game. "Bring it, pretty boy."
Oh, thank God! Lillian, I'm here.
Go and die…
Back off! Paige's voice snapped. Lil, are you ok?
Darren was confused. He heard nothing and assumed he was going insane.
Her own gem gleamed brightly before fading. She held her own out, grinning. There was no way this dude was beating her at her own game. "Bring it, pretty boy."
He spun the sword around and chopped straight down at her.
Lillian bit her lip and nodded, "Um yeah. How?'
Darren looked wide-eyed between the two. Balthazar didn't have nice things to say either.
Talia gripped Darren's shoulder. "She's gone. Why is she gone?!"
She quickly blocked before spinning her sword and forcing it under and pushing against his wrists, pulling it out of his hands. She pinned him to the floor, her sword point directly against his neck. "I think I win."
Lil, listen I don't have much time to explain… anything. Can you get Talia to take you to my house?
(I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT WHEN I SAY THAT BUT IDK HOW TO WRITE SO THIS IS WHAT YOU GET.)
She quickly blocked before spinning her sword and forcing it under and pushing against his wrists, pulling it out of his hands. She pinned him to the floor, her sword point directly against his neck. "I think I win."
He lay on the floor with his hands above his head, "You beat a former prince… Impressive," He smiled at how sexy this was.
(This is why writing action scenes take forever. You know what you're talking about as the writer but you have to make sure that everyone else as readers can understand it too.)
(I know right! That's where movies come in handy…)
Lil, listen I don't have much time to explain… anything. Can you get Talia to take you to my house?
Lillian nodded, "Uh sure."
She smirked, realizing it herself. She put her sword down but refused to get up. "Hmm, but now that I'm down here I'm too lazy to get up."
She smirked, realizing it herself. She put her sword down but refused to get up. "Hmm, but now that I'm down here I'm too lazy to get up."
"Good," he smiled, "I didn't want you too. Training is going to be fun,"
Lillian listened for Paige's voice. Weird.. To finish, "I what?"
