Kendra watched the movie and finised her coffee. She couldnt help but notice Cal looking worried. "Cal hunny are you alright?"
"Oh, uh…I'm just worried about Veda. That's all," Cal answered, shrugging faintly as he fiddled with the hem of his faded hoodie, letting a bit of silence hang between them. He had always been quite protective of everyone in the apartment, even if he was the youngest.
(I love Veda and Abby's friendship already)
Veda sighed and leaned back into her pillows. "Okay…." Under her breath she muttered, "Mom."
Abby smiled to herself. But the smile was broken. She never let them see.
"Here," Abby returned with a fresh bowl of soup. "You might want to blow on it a little first. It's kind of hot."
Kendra did the dishes and walked back and sat next to Cal, wrapping him in a hug. "Sweet heart were all worried for Veda. But shes in mom- i mean Abbys hands. shes going to be okay. we just have to be there if either of them need us, okay?" she said, hoping to reasure him.
Cal nodded faintly as he leaned against Kendra, letting his messy, dark hair fall across his gaze. She was right. Veda just needed them to be there for her no matter what. Though, he couldn't help worrying, even if Kendra's words did reassure him a bit. "Thanks," He mumbled gratefully.
Meanwhile, Vivian snored.
"Anytime kiddo" she said, letting him lean on her for as long as he wanted. not restricting him from moving if he wanted to.
Meanwhile, Vivian snored.
(oof thats me with a group of my friends. id be the one asleep the whole time)
(I know Natasha's not here, can we just say that Abby put Veda to bed for now?)
After a long pause, Cal finally pulled away, a faint smile crossing his face as he looked towards Kendra. The hug and words had made him feel a bit better, even if part of him was still worried for Veda and Abby. He glanced over at Vivian who was snoring next to them, a small laugh escaping his lips. "Hey, Viv'." Cal mumbled, nudging her a little to see if she would wake up.
Meanwhile, Vivian snored.
(oof thats me with a group of my friends. id be the one asleep the whole time)
(Lol lucky I can't sleep that easily)
"Cal let her sleep. gosh have some decency." she said and lightly pushed on his shoulder
"I'm awake!" she got up suddenly, staring at Cal like a deer in headlights.
(I know Natasha's not here, can we just say that Abby put Veda to bed for now?)
(Sure)
(Okie!) Abby came out of the room and gently shut the door. She grabbed the TV remote and powered down the TV. "Bed. Everybody. Now."
Her shoulders slumped. "I just woke up," she whined.
Cal laughed at Vivian's reaction, nudging Kendra in return as he leaned back against the couch, a bright grin spreading across his face. "I have decency, but I also like to have fun. You should try it sometime, Kendra. Do you know what the word fun means?" He teased lovingly, still smiling a bit dorkily.
"that was rude Cal" Kendra said. She did stand up to go to bed as per Abby's orders. "i did the dishes for you by the way Abby"
"Fun is my middle name, along with sarcastic, and queen thanks much" she said, laughing.
Abby looked towards the sink. Sure enough. "You didn't have to Kendra. Vivian, can you quickly clean up your puzzle, please?"
Vivian nodded, stretching as she got up and moved to the desk.
"Sorry, Viv'," Cal added, chuckling lightly as he hugged her quickly before pushing himself up to walk towards his room. "We'll have to rename you to add all those middle names in then." He answered, nudging Kendra playfully on his way.
Kendra lightly smacked him upside the head as he passed. "I know i did have to but you cant do everything on your own. I can start taking some responsibility around here too. doing the dishes is no big deal. im 18 not 8."
Abby smiled again, partially there. Soon, she promised herself. Too soon.
"You okay Abby?" Kendra asked concerned
"Yeah," Abby said half-heartedly. She didn't mean for it to sound that way.
"Well ill just leave you be. we can talk about it later, just dont forget to take care of yourself amoungst taking care of all of us" Kendra said, turned and walked back to her room.
(also what are the bedroom situations? who shares with who?"
(Idk. Um… I'm going out on a limb just for the sake of things. Guys have a room. Veda and Abby. Other Vivian, Kendra, Holly. Yeah?)
(Okie!) Abby soon found herself alone in the living room. She grabbed her backpack and crossed the room to the desk. She took out her laptop and powered it on.
