Lillian watched as the lightning struck Darren. She jumped back slightly, escaping from that pit for just a second. His eyes fluttered, he was alive. She forced herself to move as she grabbed his hand, "Darren?"

"Lillian," He smiled. The lightning had healed him instead of Paige. The scratches were gone painlessly……………. The cancer?

Lillian wrapped her arms around him and cried out, "You're not dead. Oh thank god!"

Lillian felt as if she was being squeezed to death. But she didn't care. Her hands dug into his shirt as she buried her face into his shoulder, "No you couldn't. You're such an idiot."

She melted and wrapped her arms around his neck. God, she didn't even realize how much she missed him until this moment. But we don't know if we can trust him or not! He took a chance. If it goes well then yay! If not then we dust him and run!

Ryan kissed her, she could distract from the urge to rip her veins open. It's all he had right now.

Darren stood up and rushed to the bed, his face fell apart as he cried hard. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry."

(Wow, graphic much? It's fine, I honestly don't care.) She just kissed him, she didn't have another option other than to listen to her voices battle it out. It was all she had right now. (YES I JUST DID THAT SO SUE ME.)

He pulled away slowly, the veins under his eyes were bold. "Proof enough?"

Lillian was still on the ground. She was immovable at the moment. Her best friend was gone. It was her fault. She did this. If it wasn't for her, Paige would be alive. She kept crying.

Darren's face heated to anger, he resisted the urge to turn, let the demon take him and run. He hugged Lillian, "I should have tried harder, I'm sorry," He cried.

He nodded and took a step back, still unsure of himself. "For now? Why don't you trust me?"

Lillian shook her head as she said softly. Her arms wouldn't hug him back, "It's not your fault."

"Because of that." She pointed to the bolded veins under his eyes. "I can't be sure until they're gone."

"I didn't use my full power, I held back so I wouldn't die," he gasped for a shaky breath, "If I wasn't so selfish, she'd still be here," He expected Lillian to hate him… Honestly, why should she? He truly was the monster he feared.
