“Why…. why are you helping me?” Eira asked, trying not to let her body shake.

"Because you deserve it and i wish the king were out of power, possibly more than you do. and i despratly wish to have powers of my own… since i cant i figure helping those who do is as good as i can do" she said

Once Eira’s chains were off she collapsed, using the wall to help her up, “You work for him though,” her voice was raspy, “If you hate him, why work for him?”

"Because i dont have anywhere else to go… this is the only home i've ever known and if i leave ill be in your position" she paused… "and it gives me a boost, and maybe it'll help me help magic users"

Eira made a low laugh, “You’ll definitely be helping magic users…” She cocked her head, “What’s you…” A cough, “Name?”

"Calista, yours?" she thought a moment, "do you want some help there, you look terrible"

“Eira, and that would be helpful…” She said ad tried a smile at Calista.

She smiled and walked closer and held out a hand to the new found "friend"

Eira took it gladly, barely able to support herself on her own. The King had done a bloody good job, “Thanks.”

"anytime, lets just get out of here" she walked slowly toward the door, careful not to move too quick

Eira nodded, hoping her returning strength would come soon, “Is it possible to get to the markets?”

"i was headed there anyway. its a personal escape from this hell hole" she said, opening the door, checking to make sure the hall was clear and stearted down the hall again

“Alright, good… let’s get there fast.” Eira followed Calista out the cell.

Calista pushed a brick in with her foot and a stone doorway swung open. "After you" she said, guesturing to the secret hallway

Eira stood with her mouth open for a moment then shook her head, entering the hall, “How’d you find this?”

"when you live in a place for your lifetime you get to know every nook and crannie well. especially when you're forced to be best friends with someone like… him" she shuddered

Eira nodded and kept walking.

Calista pulled the door closed behind her and caught up to Eira. "So he wouldnt punish you if you werent a magic user or related in anyway…usually. so what did you do to make him angry?"

“I am a magic user,” She flickered her hand and a shadow formed then disappeared, “I know the where abouts of the other users, he wants me to tell him.”

"oh… i dont blame you for keeping it to yourself. i would do the same" she said in amazment

She smiled a little, “I have to get to the others, have to make sure they are okay.”

"Valid, but at least take it easy. you have to take care of yourself too"

She shook her head, “I don’t know what’s happened, they are more important right now.”

"Also valid. just let me know what i can do to help, and ill do it"
