(Hi!)
(Hi!)
(Hey! Do you want to go from where we were in the beginning of the School RP. With them at the musical sign up sheet?)
(That sounds good! Whatever even happened to the musical??)
(Lol. I dunno. We are waiting for Lloyd to come back. )
(Okie wow. ;D You wanna start or do you want me to?)
(1 sec)
Darren shot a half-hearted nervous smile back to Paige as he tried desperately to not be noticed by anyone else. When he passed Paige he said, "That wasn't what it looked like!"
(He’s referring to the sign up sheet)
Paige's eyes scanned him. "They why were you there?"
(Hey-o! I got back earlier than I expected!)
(Sweet!)
Darren looked panicked, “I was, uhh, just looking,”
"I thought that I saw you write down your name," Paige replied curiously.
“Like I said, really not what it looks like,” he blushed.
"Oh," Paige said, her eyes still observing him.
“Are you signing up?” He asked, changing the subject.
(We’re waiting for you on the other RP btw)
"I don't know," Paige looked over to the sheet. The poster for a musical that she'd never even heard of before hung beside it.
He shrugged but suddenly looked nervous as the other jocks entered the hall, “I, um, should go…” he said slowly.
"Ok," Paige said. When he left, she crossed over to the board. "I'm such an idiot," she muttered to herself as she signed her elegant cursive under Darren's name. She quickly headed off in the opposite direction, somewhat smiling to herself.
Darren met up with some of the football guys who jokingly teased him for talking to Paige. He brushed it off and went to class.
Paige sat in the back of the class and looked up at a loud noise. A mob of football players were coming through the doorway and Darren was one of them. How had she not noticed before?
Darren looked at Paige like he was going to say something before getting pulled into conversation with some of the Jocks.
Paige blushed and looked away when Darren looked at her. She hid her face with a book. "Calm down," she hissed softly aloud to herself.
Darren ended up sitting right next to Paige by default. The other chairs were taken. He smiled to Paige who was reading, who reads for fun?
Paige was so enveloped in her book that she didn't even notice Darren sitting beside her. She turned the page and glanced up, catching a glimpse of his face. She blinked and her eyes widened quickly.
He ran a hand through his dark hair, he could never focus in class. He was preparing himself to be bored. Darren looked over to Paige and smiled a little as a hello.
Paige smiled shyly and put away her book as class began.
Darren didn’t notice class starting, he never did. He leaned over to Paige, “Whatcha reading?”
"Oh, uh, Stargirl. Jerry Spinelli," she replied, feeling the gazes of all the jocks staring at them. One whistled sharply, causing a round of laughter.
Darren didn’t seem to be affected by the other kids, he knew that wouldn’t ruin his quarterback reputation. He nodded pretending like he had heard of the book despite the fact that he didn’t read much. “Sweet, is it good?”
