Paige pulled out the blade that she had taken from Lillian. Her life. The ultimate price. Was she willing to risk it? She'd been neglected enough, It was time to put an end to her own misery.

Lillian spotted Paige. Then she saw the glint of a familiar blade. She ran up to Paige, "Hey! What's going on?"

“Sweet maybe will be in some of the same classes,” Theo said excited now. He knew Jake was going to find out about the bullying sooner or later but didn’t know to casually bring it up in conversation.

"That would be nice! It's good to have friends when you're new," He smiled but looked at his hands.

Paige looked up, her eyes wide. She began to shake nervously, even her words were garbled. "Lillian- Lillian… w-what are you; what are you doing here?"

Lillian placed a gentle hand on Paige. She made eye contact with Paige while keeping an eye on the blade, "I was on my way to a dinner at a new friends. What are you doing here?"

“You ok?” Theo asked as he stuffed a cookie in his mouth.

"Taking a walk," Paige whispered, her fingers tightening on the blade.

Jake nodded, "Yeah, I'm okay," He looked up and grabbed a cookie, "You're out right? Like, at school?"

Lillian nodded. She figured at the moment maybe staying with Paige would be best, "Mind if I walk with you?"

"Yes- I mean, no. I mean…" Paige closed her eyes to stop the tears.
