(is there room for one more roamer? and maybe a dog?)
Fawn finishes her research book, looking at the clock to see it is almost curfew. It is hard to tell when night is coming, since the windows are bolted shut and the only light is the florescent lighting hanging over each room in the mall. Fawn puts the large book back on its shelf, reading its cover one last time. The Great Depression: 1929-1939. The Great Depression must of been tough. It seems better than this life though. Fawn thinks to herself as she walks out of the library, heading to Bedding. The mall turned an old storage unit into a sleeping area for survivors. The large shelves now contained cots, the entire room filled with pillows and blankets. 116 survivors. Fawn reminds herself as she walks to the guard. "Fawn Rallow," she states and the guard checks her name of the list. "You're checked in." he continues with the line of folks. She grabs a pair of night clothes from the station and heads to an empty cot. She changes into the pajamas, and throws the previous clothes into the laundry shoot. She crawls under the worn out sheets and tampers with her pillow until she is comfortable. Softly, she drifts off.

(Definitely, we actually need more roamers. And I LOVE DOGS)

(this good?)
Cammie sighed as she heard a girl waked in. But it didn't bother her as she was lying down on her little cot in her Marvel Pajamas, throwing an item up in the air before catching it and doing the same thing over and over again, look at the ceiling. Sleep is for the weak. She knew it wasn't true, but those words rang through her mind as memories flashed back. Anxiety and restlessness took over as she turned her body, trying to find a comfortable position to sleep in, but it took awhile.
(yep)
Grace lay still in her cot - she wasn't asleep - she probably wouldn't be for many hours. She thought about her little sister, Willow, she wondered where Willow was now. After a while she found herself twirling her long blonde hair around her hands until they were covered. She wiped away the tears she didn't even realize she was crying with her hands still wrapped in her hair. Eventually she fell asleep as another person walked in - it wasn't curfew yet but Grace often went to bed early so she'd be asleep by the time everyone else was.
(I asked to be a roamed but I got no response. I think I deleted it or it was forgotten lol)

(AAAH, SO SORRY. DEFINITELY.)
The flickering lights tell the survivors its morning. Today, Fawn is volunteering at the school, since she knows much about history. She doesn't get her job until 18, but she believes she will be a teacher. She heads to the showers, getting there just before the long line. She undresses in front of everyone. She used to be uncomfortable about it, but it is how life is now in the Mall. She throws her night clothes in the shoot, and grabs a bar of soap. The Cleaner hands her a light grey towel. She slips under the shower head, and pulls the curtain closed. The warm water falls on her long hair. She tilts her head towards the spray, closing her eyes and holding her breath. Tonight is the Wave, the 1200th to be exact. Some civilians say it should be a celebration, exactly 100 years of survival for the camp. Some say it is an omen.
Grace went down to the showers - the line was long but she wasn't upset about that - she didn't enjoy showering. She had to undress in front of everyone. She longed for the days when her family still lived in their homes. Covering doors and windows with blankets to block out the Wave. She had always liked its low ominous hum. It had always felt like a victory for her that her family had survived. But now they hadn't… The line continued to move until Grace would soon get a chance at it. She wasn't exactly excited about that.
(I know I'm late, but can my character, Hannah, join? I'm happy to be a civilian. This is awesome!)
(thanks, yeah, she can be a civilian or roamer)
civilian.
Hannah decided to skip her shower that day and sneak off to the library. She didn't do this often, worried that people would get too suspicious, but today was the anniversary of her brother, Danial's death, and she didn't really feel like stripping in front of a million people. Pushing a stray blonde lock behind her ear, Hannah carefully crept around the mall, making sure she wasn't spotted. It wasn't that hard, because the guard for the library, Ron, was gone, probably off snogging his girlfriend May somewhere. Tiptoeing inside, she grabbed her favorite book, Elissa's Quest. Hannah knew there were two sequels, but the only place you could get those books was the outside, and although Hannah was brave, she wasn't that brave. Sneaking back to the room, she sat down on her cot and opened to chapter one, not bothering to change out of her grey, black, and purple pajamas.

(How should the Roamers start off? It says that they come across the mall, but I didn’t know if you wanted that to happen right away?)
(it happened while the wave is happening…so I will post a sentence for them now, while they are still outside)
The sun shines through the broken roof of the suburban house. Their group have been staying there, loading up with canned beans and stale chips. Jacob takes out his leftover granola bar from last night, eating it for breakfast. He grabs his pack and shakes Livia. The moaning from the Affected grow louder. Tonight must be a Wave. They always moan with hunger before a Wave. "Get up!" he yells at the others, "We need to move. There's a Wave coming. We can't be out in the open."
Hannah was on chapter four when she heard a loud banging noise coming from outside the mall. Is that the wave she thinks, It can't be, it's too early.
(Cool. Thanks!)
Livia startled awake when Jacob shook her. She was mildly irritated at first, but as she figured out what was going on, she was motivated to quickly get to her feet.
“Where should we go? There’s not a whole lot of shelter around here, is there?”
Olivia stood up and looked to Jacob, Hooty was sitting in her shoulder preening himself.
Barrow is looking out the window when the other Roamers start gathering their things. Sighing, the rather large man kneels next to his companion, a wolfish dog. "C'mon Doll, wake up. We gotta be moving soon." With a stretch the beast grumbles lowly, before shaking itself off.
Jacob pulled out his map, although it was a little outdated. "It seems Bar Harbor is about 32 miles north. So let's get moving because the land is desolate until we get to the town." He loaded his gun, and handed it to Livia. "I got my trusty dagger." Jacob twirled the rusty knife in his hand, before placing it back into his knife holster. "Everyone, look through the house one more time. If you find anything useful, bring it down. We won't be stopping for 32 miles. And we should stock up on some water. Don't step out of this house without me, you hear me? Turn on your radios, and call in if you see anything strange. Meet back here at 9." Jacob's voice echoed through the room, deep and serious.
Olivia whistles and wolf comes running. She she whistles a low note and hooty flies up looking for any trouble. She walks around the house picking up rusty spoons and broken hangers. She picked up some old toys and shoved them in her bag as well. Anything could be used as a weapons nowadays. She found some bottles and quickly washed them then put water inside each one. Counting 4meduim sized water bottles and 1 big one, she put them in her bag and heard Hooty Screech. She ran back and yells “Hooty alerted me of trouble! Also I have water.” She loaded her rifle and twanged her bow string.
Jacob finishes filling his flask with the brownish water from the faucet. He puts his mouth under the faucet, gulping the last drops of the water source. He wipes his lips with his hand and heads to Olivia."What do you see?"
Cammie was annoyed and a bit worried, already? She pulled herself out of her cot before changing and arming herself. A voice came on the intercom, which was Jacobs. She scavengerd around and was satisfied before finding Jacob.

“One second.” She replied. She whistles a high note and goofy screeched back a low note “well according to hooty there are about 6 unknown things, probably affected from the low moaning sounds I hear. What do we do boss?” She asked
Livia searched through the house, and she picked up what little supplies she could find. A set of needles and thread sat on a rocking chair in a bedroom in the back of the house, and she took what she believed could be useful for any necessary clothing repairs. She stared at the walls, which were wallpapered with floral patterns and adorned with a few cross-stitched images, which must have been produced with those very needles. Livia opened a few drawers to find some jewelry that she figured may have some monetary value. She stashed that in her bag, then kept scavenging. In another drawer, she found a hatchet and a pocketknife, both tinged brown with rust. They would have to do. Livia put them away, and as soon as she was sure she had done all the necessary looting, she returned to where Jacob and the others were.
