"Yeah..your right" He said turning onto his side trying to fall asleep

Charlie got out of bed, he didn't sleep much that night but he felt rested anyways and he began to put the items scrambled across the bed back into his bag

Aurelius only awoke that morning because he heard Charlie moving. He wasn't sure how much- or how little- he had slept. All he remembered was lying awake for a long time, just staring into space and thinking about how he'd messed up, and how he probably could have stopped all of those people from dying.

Charlie got all his stuff packed up in his bag and set it on the ground, he made the bed just to be polite to the keepers of the place

Aurelius was quick to put away his things; he hadn't bothered getting much out in the first place. He made up his own bed to the best of his ability, but as he had guessed, his arm was very sore, and he could barely move it.

After they had gotten all packed up Charlie grabbed the key and turned to Aurelius "We should grab some supplies before we leave" He mentioned

"Yeah, for sure. Maybe a little more food, some medical supplies… what else?" He led the way down to the small lobby.

"Um yeah I think that's all since we kind of have everything else." He said handing the woman the key to the room

"Alright then, let's get going," Aurelius went out the door and went up to the market that was set up. It wasn't as large or busy as the one back home, but they had everything that he and Charlie needed for the time being. Aurelius dug into his bag to grab enough money to buy a loaf of bread, two apples, and some bandages and some healing salve.

Charlie followed Aurelius and bought some jerky, other foods that last a bit longer and a few other odd things he had found useful in his travels

When he and Charlie were done at the market, Aurelius started heading towards the woods where they had left their dragons. He was irrationally worried that something may have happened to them.

Jekyll bounded over to Charlie nearly knocking him over with his tail and shoved his head into Charlies chest "Hey bud" He laughed glad to see he was okay

Aurelius saw Nox. She slowly approached, her movements very slow and sad, almost.
"Girl, we're going back," he told her, stroking her neck, "We'll check for survivors."
Nox was unhappy. She growled at him and blew smoke from her nose.

"What's up with Nox?" Charlie asked, stroking Jekyll

"I don't think she wishes to go back," Aurelius explained. He continued to comfort his dragon and tried to see if she would still let him ride.

"I seriously doubt anyone bad would be left there if that's what she's concerned about"

"Yeah, that's right. And if they are, we just bail again," Aurelius promised his dragon. She flapped her wings and let him climb on again.

Name- Valkyrie (sometimes people call her Val or Rie)
Age- 18
Gender/sexuality- Female/Ace but romantically attracted to guys only
Appearance- 5'6 and thin with muscle tone, lean with few curves, naturally pale skin that's tanned fairly dark from spending so much time in the sun, dirty blonde long and wavy hair usually tied back with a red ribbon, bright amber eyes
Personality- Somewhat serious but very soft-hearted, holds grudges
Dragon's name, appearance, personality- Valhalla, male, light blue with yellow eyes and razor teeth, playful and obedient, enjoys fighting and playing rough
Background- formerly a poor farmer, now a dragon rider; she found out she could talk to dragons a couple of years ago and Aurelius took her back to the village. However, before this, a dragon was in her hometown, chained up by knights to be killed in an arena. Aurelius went to save the dragon, but his mission went downhill, and Valkyrie's younger brother was killed by the dragon. She was on Aurelius' side for a while, but she grew continuously bitter and blamed him and his people for everything and joined the "bad guys"
