"I guess I can be patient," Koko complied.

"At least your power doesn't drain your energy." Megan responded, already getting a headache from the five seconds she spent healing Fiona.

"Well, at least… Argh, I can't refute that," she pouted.

“Thanks,” Fiona said, dropping her arm again. A flower spring from the vine, which she handed to Megan, noticeably paler than before.

Megan nodded, using her left hand to rub her forehead and her right to take the flower. "No problem."

Maddox watched the others and silence, involuntarily freezing the area around him. Snowflakes floated around in roughly a ten foot radius.

Ferran watched the flakes fall. "Beautiful." He breathed.

"What?" His eyes grew more focused, and he jumped a bit in surprise. "Oh! Er, sorry. Didn't mean to make those…"

"No no I love it." Ferran reached up and caught one on the tip of his finger.

He… likes them? "R-Really? You… you mean it?" Maddox looked down at his palms, and at the frozen curb he was sitting on.

"Yeah…" Ferran crossed his eyes looking at the flake. "It's awesome dude…."

But they don't really do anything! Do they? "Not sure snowflakes are too helpful in any battle situation, though…"

"I dunno." Ferran shrugged. "If you could just gather it all up and that fwap! Buried in the snow."

Maddox thought for a moment before smiling slightly. He moved his hand so that Ferran couldn't see it and began forming a snowball.

Ferran turned in a circle. "This is….soothing…"

"Snowball!" Koko cheered. She was glad that even if she couldn't hold her power, the others could.

Maddox held a finger to his lips, glancing at Koko before throwing the snowball at the back of Ferran's head.

Ferran stumbled forward and fell into the snow. "Hey!" He laughed.

He had already started making another one, smiling and standing up. He threw the second snowball, this one hitting Ferran's shoulder.

Ferran giggled ducked behind Koko. "Protect me!"

More snowflakes flitted about in the wind as Maddox covered the ground with a thin sheet of frost. He kept making snowballs, but missed several times as he threw them.

Koko burst out laughing, "He got you good, Ferran!"

Fiona smiled at them playing in the snow as her face began to turn pink, from cold and from overextertion.

Noticing how Ferran had hid behind her, she squealed and moved over. "Hey! You can't do that!"

"Are you the rule maker?"

"I thought fun did not have rules? I should've done more research…" Maddox dropped the snowball, zoning out and getting lost in thought.

Ferran glared at Koko. "Great, you gave him an existential crisis."

"I-It doesn't. I was joking…"

Koko didn't voice her thoughts on Ferrans comment, however she did give him the stink eye.

(Lmao I've actually had an existential crisis before. Several times.)
Maddox stood in silence, staring blankly at the new snowball slowly forming in his hands. Where does it come from? Does it even mean anything? What would happen if I died? It would make little effect on the world…
