Veronica shook her head and let out a short breath. "This is a first," she muttered.
Veronica shook her head and let out a short breath. "This is a first," she muttered.
River looked at the list and sighed. She kinda expected her name to be there. She walked outside into the hallway and looked shocked at how many kids were there
"Any idea what they might be doing?" He asked, making sure to give a glare to each guard in case they made eye contact.
"All I know is it's not good…" Veronica replied, shrugging. "But nothing here really is."
Alex stiffened as her name was read. "Whats going on?" She asked a girl next to her as she eyed the large number of guards.
(Just to make sure, who's the girl?)
( Anyone right now.)
(Mkay)
( sighs My character needs desperate human interaction.)
River looked beside as a new girl showed up. “Well right now we’re just standing here while they are yet to tell us what ya going in!” She said in frustration. Then she smirked “I’m River. And I have just taken about two wallets from the guards.”
( sighs My character needs desperate human interaction.)
(Same. I feel ya. My character is forever alone too.)
(Um…)
One guard pulled out a gun and looked at the kids lined up against the wall. "You all have been chosen for an experiment. A punishment meant for the worst of you," the guard said, straight-faced.
(Talk to river! Although she just responded to Alex!)
(No talking now anyway, at least to each other.)
Alex glared right at them. "What makes us so different from the other kids here?" She snarled at the guard.
"Don't sass me kid. You and the rest of your friends here are some of the worst here. Therefore, you were chosen," the guard replied. Veronica crossed her arms and stuck out her tongue. "I've been here for years Dave, you still don't scare me," she said, smirking slightly.
"I don't care why I'm here, I just want to know what this 'experiment' is." Dominik growled.
"Island 37," Dave said plainly. Veronica stepped back slightly and shook her head. "No…"
Dominik glared at the guard. "What the hell is Island 37? Is this some military bullcrap?"
"It's an island," he replied, shrugging. Veronica looked up, her eyes wide. "You wouldn't…no…I've heard about it. People die," Veronica muttered.
"Well duh, people die. That's part of life." He shook his head, hoping that she could sense his sarcasm.
Ella stayed silent. How the heck was she one of "the worst" kids? She always followed the rules, despite how unfair they were, and she didn't even commit that terrible a crime!
Veronica glared at him. "This isn't funny. Don't you understand what's happening here?" she asked, clearly annoyed.
"No, I don't. You haven't been explaining it very well." Dominik responded matter-of-factly.
"They're sending us to Island 37 as punishment. We are going to die," Veronica said, rubbing her temples. "You could survive, but it's unlikely," Dave said, his gun still out.
This seemed to his Dominik hard. "…Die?" He turned to face the guards. "You can't be serious! I knew you guys were a**holes, but this is too far!"
"I never said it was definite. If you're smart, maybe you'll survive this. We will be giving you a small cabin and other necessities," Dave said, crossing his arms and glaring at Dominik. "No-name, don't push him. You don't want to die before we even get there," Veronica said, trying to be sarcastic although she was shaking with fear.
"I don't understand why you would basically turn us into lab rats. Isn't that illegal?"
He clenched his fists, but did as the girl told him. Dominik kept his angered gaze, his eyes shooting daggers at the guard.
Ashton shook his head in disbelief. Why would they do this? Sure, there were some horrible crimes, but why take them to an island that seemed like certain death? Ashton wondered why he of all people was there, sure the crime they put him in the JDC was bad, but he didn’t even do it in the first place! He followed every rule and was probably the quietest person there. Ashton looked around. None of them deserved to be there.
