Genatrix morphed into her human form as she entered the angel's room. She hoped that she would be able to find the final item she needed on his clothing; She would rather not have to pluck an eyelash off a pegasus. Mind you, angel eyelashes had the same properties, but she wasn't sure whether that would injure Luena…
Genatrix crept through the room, careful to keep her steps light.
(What if Val just… came in? Or maybe she's outside and Nathaniel walks in. I mean, child would make everyone feel better)
"Oh, God…." Lloyd started pacing anxiously. "No, no, no, no, no…. You can't die! I refuse to let you die!"
"I'm sure it'll be fine," Darren said looking up at Lloyd, "The doctors, they're very good."
Lloyd looked up at a soft noise. It was the strange silver bird from earlier. "Er, do… d-do you need something?" He asked Genatrix.
(Genatrix is in human form atm.)
Genatrix turned around suddenly, morphing into a bird from the shock of being discovered.
In her haste to help Luena, she hadn't realized he had been in the room. Genatrix slapped herself with her wing.
(Eeeee pretend he's talking to a person then bc I'm too lazy to fix it lmao.)
Human? Bird? What is she? Whatever… not important… "Hello?"
Genatrix looked up at the angel, somewhat frozen in his gaze. She twitched slightly, her disguises becoming uncomfortable under a Pure One's stare.
"Do you…. do you need help? Resources? I haven't got any food…"
(Kinda tempted to literally just make Nate walk through the door lol)
(Darren just staring like, 'This is life')
Darren looked over at the creature, he just decided to hold still because he was confused.
Genatrix's form dissolved, leaving in its place a collection of silver strands of magic. If you looked very, VERY hard at the cloud, you could see a woman dressed in an ancient, regal looking black dress. Atop her head was a silver tiara. Around her neck was a golden pentagram.
She looked down at herself, very much so confused as to how the fuck that happened. Then she realized her necklace was visible. Genatrix fixed it so that it was hidden under her clothing.
"W-Who are you? What do you want?" Lloyd watched the woman, bird, creature…. he had no idea what to even call her. His wings were visible, as he hadn't needed to hide them. He had been inside for about a week, and rarely put on a hoodie because of his fever.
(I'm sad cause Shade died…)
(Should I make Nate come in like LLOYD U IN HERE BRO?)
Genatrix could sense the angel's confusion. Which led to her confusion, and slight delight that he hadn't caught what she was. After all, familiars were a fault on heaven's guidelines.
"Please don't be alarmed." Genatrix spoke, her voice sounding like 5 voices speaking slightly out of sync.
(I'm doin it)
Suddenly, the front door opened and a small voice called out. "Lloyd? Val brought me here… are you in here?" Then, a little angel boy stepped around the corner. He couldn't have been more than four or five years old. His hair was coppery, fluffy, and messy. His eyes were hazel and he had a pair of bent, crooked wings upon his back. He wore a sort of white tunic with a simple belt, and he spotted the three others in the room.
Darren turned around startled, "What the heck?"
Lloyd turned towards the boy, taking a few moments to realize who it was. "Nathaniel? What are you doing here?" He quickly walked over to Nathaniel and picked him up, careful not to crush his wings.
Darren though, he vaguely remembered Lloyd saying he had a younger brother, and the boy did look like him. "Your brother?" Darren asked.
Genatrix was surprised at the young one. Why would a young angel be down here? She turned to address the angel.
"You are the 'Lloyd', correct?" She spoke, trying to keep her voice as one. And failing.
Lloyd nodded, Nathaniel laying his head on Lloyd's chest. "I'd say he's… four, five years old now. Nate, this is Darren." The boy looked up at Darren. "Hello! I came here on a pegasus!" He said, sounded excited and a bit exhilarated. He seemed not to notice Genatrix.
"Yes, I'm Lloyd. Who are you? How do you know me?" Lloyd turned towards Genatrix, confused.
Darren laughed, he had always wanted a younger sibling and probably would've gotten one if it weren't for his mom. He smiled at the boy.
Lloyd set down his brother and Nathaniel trotted over to Darren, grabbing onto his pants leg and looking up at Genatrix.
