Lillian waved back, "Hey!"

“Hey,” Darren said with a smile.

"How's life?" She sat down next to Lillian and smiled at Darren.

"Life," Lillian shrugged. The voice was back.

“It’s alright for the most part.” Darren wasn’t hungry to he just watched the others eat.

"Not a proper answer."

What do you mean?” Darren laughed in confusion.

Lillian shrugged, she started poking at her food. Her stomach growled, but she ignored it. The voice giving her praise.

"I meant Lillian, not you." She said.

Darren threw his arms up in mock defense, “Fine, Fine,”

"So, has anything interesting happened to you?"

Lillian looked to Darren, "A lot has happened."

Darren nodded, not sure how much they were going to tell Raven.

"What was it about? You don't have to tell me if you're not comfortable." She said.

Lillian looked to Darren. She didn't know if she should tell Raven about her mother. Or the whole cancer situation with Darren.

Darren took his hat off, “I got brain cancer,” he was hoping to take the attention off of Lillian.

She looked at Darren in shock, "T-that's terrible."

Darren nodded, “Yeah. I think I’ll be alright though, the doctors are very good.”

Lillian was grateful for Darren. The voice booed and wanted her to spill. Especially since Darren took the hit for her.

"That's a good thing. But your survival chances are very low."

Darren let out a pathetic laugh, “Yeah, brain tumors aren’t nice but the Neurological staff and my doctors will do whatever they can to prevent that,”

"I'm just being honest, let's hope they can prevent it."

“I hope so too,”

Lunch was almost over and Darren hadn’t eaten anything, he didn’t plan on it either.

"Aren't you gonna eat?" She asked.

Darren looked at Raven, “Nah, not really hungry,” he frowned. He was usually always hungry.

"But you're usually hungry every day."
