Ling looked at this beautiful creature before him and smiled. How lucky am I that she chose me out of all the others she could have had

Sabine laid her head on Ling's shoulder and smiled. "Je t'adore."

Ling smiled and continued dancing.

Ivan embraced Rosella and kept a watchful eye out for james over his shoulder. "Rosella, could you bless me with being my partner for the first dance?" Rosella smiled, "Of course, anything for a friend as dear as you!" Rosella took Ivan's hand and he swept her off her feet onto the dance floor, Ivan still keeping and eye out for potential threats to his plan.

Sabine opened her eyes to see Ivan and Rosella dancing. She got that weird feeling again. She shook it off. She hardly ever got to see Ling, and she wouldn't ruin this dance by… worrying about Rosella and doing her job. Sabine fought herself for the second time this evening.

Ling looked down and frowned. then looking in the way Sabine was looking, he sighed "You also get a bad feeling whenever Rosella is near Ivan, My Sweet?"

"Ivan are you alright, you seemed worried?" Rosella said, Ivan smiled, "Nothing is wrong, Rose..everything is going according to plan." Ivan smile curled into a mischievous grin, this did not phase Rosella, for she was having a good time.

"Yes," Sabine replied, watching Ivan smirk maliciously behind Rosella's back. "I have to protect her, but I feel… useless. Where is James? Hasn't he come down yet?"

“No I don not think so.” Ling replied

"Is she oblivious?" Sabine murmured, watching Rosella's face.

“She is one of my good friends but she loves to see the good in people.” Ling sighed “sometimes that’s not a good idea.”

"Yes, but I wouldn't be here if that were the case…" Sabine trailed off, her eyes slowly filling with tears.

Panicking ling looked at Sabine “why are you crying?” He asked worried

Sabine blinked her tears away. "I'm fine, mon amour. Trés bien."

He looked at her skeptically “you can tell me anything you know this right?”

Sabine kissed his cheek and smiled. "I know."

The song faded to a close, Rosella faded to the edge of the dance floor with Ivan in tow, "you look parched Rose…Let me get us some drinks." Ivan glided away. Rosella sighed and smiled, it felt good to be o the dance floor. Rosella spotted Sabine and Ling still dancing, she smiled, and then wondered where James was. She looked around the room with searching eyes but there was no one to be found. She frowned, but then focused her eyes on Sabine, feeling happy for them and not resonating in her own sorrow.

Sabine looked around and saw Rosella watching them. Ivan was gone. "Where did Ivan go?" she asked, her voice shaking a little with worry.

Ling looked and made a decision. Taking Sabines hand, he walked towards Rosella “rosella! I was entranced by this beautiful creature, I forgot to greet my old friend! How are you?” He asked her.

Sabine sat in the seat beside Rosella and blushed.

" I am doing well Ling Merci, for asking! Sabine seemed to be having a good time as well. Uh, you two haven't seen James yet tonight?" Rosella asked masking her worry

“Yes I saw him this way come with me and I will show you! Ivan is busy talking to his other guests I do t think he will mind I I steal you for a bit!” Ling laughed

" Thank you," Rosella chuckled, "but Ivan is getting me a drink right now, and I'm pretty worn out, i need to rest for a bit, I'll find him later, or he'll find me…Thank you though" Rosella said, just then, Ivan appeared with two glasses of champagne, he smiled at Ling and Sabine, "You two are enjoying yourselves yeah?" He asked, Rosella took a sip of her champagne.

"Oui," Sabine responded to Ivan, not looking directly at him.

Ivan smiled, "Well good, would you like me to get you a drink too?" Ivan asked, sipping his champagne.

“Yes I guess that would be preferred thank you.” Ling replied
