"Warriors in the palace? What happened to Rosella!?" Sabine cried.

"She…was taken…" Ivan said, his acting skills were flawless…" as soon as they had her, the ran out the window the broke in from…in think it's the terrorists that are threatening the Gaurdians…..I'm sorry I couldn't protect her Ms. Sabine…." Ivan sighed sadly

Sabine wailed and sunk to the ground. Her head tipped down so she was staring at her knees and wimpering.

Ivan announced that the party was over, and the guest started shuffling home. Ivan comforted Sabine, in the, now empty, ballroom

"J'aurais dû être là pour la protéger! I should have been there to protect her!" Sabine mourned.

"It could have happened to any of us." He said

"Ça aurait dû être moi."
(It should have been me.)

"If you'll excuse me." Ivan stood up and disappeared into the dark corridor that lead to his room she should be awake by now he thought

Sabine tried to stand up but she was trembling so badly that it was near impossible. "Rosella…" she moaned quietly.

Ivan opened the door to his chambers and locked it he heard Rosella moan, and stir in her sleep. He quickly went to his bed where he placed her, he lifted her body into his arms as her waking moments grew near.

Sabine managed to raise herself to her feet. But even now, she wasn't sure what to do…

Rosella's eyes fluttered open, she sighed…taking in her surroundings, she sat straight up. Ivan's arms closed tightly around her. "My rose…you've awaken.." he murmured softly in her ear. "Ivan..what..what happened?" Rosella's gaze was soft and tired..Ivan smirked and hugged her tight. "I saved you from the world that kept us apart, now your mine forever."
