Enzo lounged in the sh*tty apartment he and his friends rented together. He held a cooled beer in one hand, and the remote to their tiny 32" TV in the other. He yawned, completely content but also completely bored.

Victoria walked into the living room, wiping her hands on her jeans. “Is pizzaokay for dinner tonight?” Victoria asked. “I probably won’t burn the place down.”

"Like pizza-pizza?" Enzo questioned, glancing at her lazily. "Or like…frozen pizza."

"Pizza, yes, please," Max says, watching the TV with Enzo.

“Frozen pizza that I cook in the oven,” Victoria clarified.

"Ah, yeah, that's fine," he mumbled, turning his attention back to the screen. "We can't really afford real pizza anyway."

“Nope,”Victoria smiled sadly, walking back into the kitchen.

Binh An walked into the living room, his eyes adjusting to the brightness. "I don't care what you do, just please leave the house mostly intact."

Enzo flipped over to the news channel. Nothing much going on, just some random supervillian terrorizing the public. Wait. What? "Are you guys seein' this," he demanded, "or have I lost my sh*t?"

"You guys should stay updated, like you could look out the damn window," Rosana said, reminding them of her presence.

"Nah, who the hell is that?" Max says, leaning forward in his seat.

"Both," Binh An replied, rubbing the exhaustion from his eyes. "I am in fact seeing the that, and you have lost your sh*t."

"It's an actual, bona-fide villain," Enzo pointed out tiredly. "Like. Killing people and everything. Should we…?"

"What? Become heroes and help? That would be absurd," Max says slumping back.

Dare said, "Who f**king cares as long as it's not us?"

"I don't know. Maybe we should just go watch." Enzo motioned to the TV. "We only get like, six channels. Might as well go see a live show."

"Hey, I'm not blowing myself up. You go if you want."

"Are you scared, amiga?" he asked with a teasing smirk. "Never pegged you as a pussy."

"Whatever," he shrugged, standing up and tossing her the remote. "Be careful with my TV. I'm going to check it out. Anyone wanna tag along?"

"I'll come," She chirped.

"Listen, I'll come to keep you guys safe. No other reason."

"Got nothing better to do," Max shrugs.
