((OMG I NEVER GOT THE NOTIFICATION!!! I'LL RESPOND NOW, SORRY!!!!))
(XD Lol, it's totally fine!)
Seth watched as the young woman rushed past him. "Apparently it's a busy time for everyone" he thought as he neared the doors of the building. He cringed a little, then pushed open the doors. He walked out into the rain, then started to run. He wasn't worried about himself as much as his guitar. He hoped it would be okay as he sprinted toward the building.
Amethyst called Katie as quickly as she could, still racing through the rain to her car.
"Ohmygosh, Katie, I'm so sorry, but I was writing my paper in the library and it took me longer than I expected, and now it's raining and I'm trying to get to my car, and I'm running late now, so I'll probably be there five to ten minutes late, I'm so sorry!" she babbled, holding her paper to her chest with one hand and her phone to her ear with the other.
The voice on the other end laughed. "It's fine, Ames. Just get over here quickly but safely, okay?"
"Yeah, yeah, of course. I'll see you soon, then."
"See you soon," Katie said, hanging up.
Amethyst sighed and put the phone in her pocket, then reached for her keys.
Wait.
Where were her keys?
Dang it!!! I left them in the library!
(Hey, you on? :P)
((Oh, sorry! I had my friend over yesterday and I got off so we could watch a movie.. My apoligies!))
As Seth ran by he noticed the same girl that was at the table in the library was fumbling around by her car. Despite not wanting to get any more wet, he jogged over to where she was and asked, "Is everything okay?" She seemed to be looking for something, and he wondered if there was any way he could help.
(Lol, it's totally fine. Don't worry about it.)
Amethyst looked up, seeing the same guy who had at across from her in the library.
"Yeah, yeah. I just left my keys in the library and I'm already late to meet my friend for lunch," she explained, turning to make her way back.
"If you want, I can save you the extra trip and go get them for you," he asked. He felt like he kinda owed her for allowing him to sit at the table in the library, even though it was kinda stupid.
"No, no. It's fine," Amethyst assured him, shaking her head. "I'm Amethyst, by the way. I don't seem to recall catching your name…"
"Amethyst, that's a pretty name. I'm Seth." He gave a small wave as he said his name, just another one of his various quirks.
A bit of color rose to Amethyst's cheeks at the small compliment. She wasn't used to people complimenting her, but that was probably because she generally preferred to be by herself.
"Nice to meet you, Seth," she said, giving him a small smile. "Um… I wouldn't mind company walking back to the library."
"Nice to meet you, too. And I have some time to spare." He smiled back at her, noticing how she blushed at the compliment. "God, she looks cute when she blushes," he thought to himself as he turned to walk back to the library with her.
"So… What're you studying?" Amethyst asked as they walked back to the library. Her hair was nearly soaked by the continual downpour by now.
"I'm studying music. It's my dream to be a musican or conducter one day. What about you?" Noticing how soaked she was, he took off his jacket and held it out in offering to her. "It probably wont do much, but it might help some," he said.
Amethyst took the jacket with a grateful smile.
"Thanks. I'm actually studying pre-law. My mom always said I should be a lawyer, and it actually seemed like it would be a cool job, so… Here I am," she explained with a shrug.
"No problem. You seem like the lawyer type. In a good way!" He added the last part after he realised it sounded bad. He smiled a little bit after she took his jacket, glad that she accepted it and seemed to be opening up a little, instead of just brushing him off like earlier.
(Hi! Sorry, I was at work!)
"No, no. Trust me, it's not necessarily always in a good way," Amethyst assured him, laughing slightly. "I'm pretty intense, sometimes."
((Hi! Don't worry about it, I have school and other crap like that, so I always respond late too, lol))
"Well, that just adds character," he looked at her as he spoke. "Better than being called 'emo scum', or I'd assume so." He laughed a little bit himself.
(Lol. Well, I've got both school and a job now — whee — so it's a bit more difficult to juggle things. :P)
Amethyst glanced over at him through the corner of her eye.
"Do people call you that?" she asked, then flinched before apologizing, "Sorry, you don't have to answer that."
"Oh no, it's alright." He waved his hands around a little as he said it. "Yeah, some people do. I guess I kinda ask for it, playing my guitar before class starts, but it really doesn't matter. Music is a beautiful thing, and no ones opinions should tamper with how you feel about it. That's at least how I see it." He shrugged a little, then thought, "Music might be beautiful, but not nearly as much as she is." He blushed at the thought, comletley unsure of where it had come from.
(Dang, he fell for her fast.)
"Oh," Amethyst said simply. They continued on in silence for a few steps before she spoke again, quietly, "Music is an escape for me. Not playing it, though. Honestly, I couldn't play an instrument to save my life. But listening always helps me wind down."
((Lol, I'm straight and thought that your character was extremly pretty. Imagine that affect on a super shy guy who's most intimate moment with a girl was when he bumped a girls leg with his knee under a table xD
…Though if you want I can change it,…. I'm not good at pacing in rps tbh, sorry!!….))
"I can relate with you on that. Though, I beg to differ with you on that last part. If you are smart enough to go to law school, I guarantee you can learn an instrument. You seem like you could be a piano player." He looked over her, trying to figure out what instrument fit her personality best.
(No, no! It's cute, I like it!
And, thanks!)
"Tried that," Amethyst said with a slight smile. They reached the library steps, and she turned to face him. "I'm good form here, if you need to get somewhere."
Seth pulled out his phone, just about dropping it from the rain. He checked the time. He really should be going, but…. His class was on the other side of the school. He had to walk, and not to mention it was raining. All the signs seemed to be saying he should go. Without even realising it, he said, "No, I can hang out for a few more minutes if you want the company." He internally screamed at himself.
"Okay, if you're sure. Thanks," Amethyst said, turning back to walk up the steps.
Amethyst walked through the doors of the library, scanning the ground for her keys. She muttered under her breath as she searched, mostly things like not being able to find what she needed when she needed it.
Seth got onto his hands and knees and started to search around the table. A few seconds later, he saw that it had somehow gotten flung over under a bookcase. He walked over to it, and picked up the keys. "Are these yours," he asked Amethyst when he walked over to her.
"Finally," Amethyst said under her breath before thanking him. "Yes, they are. Thank you." She checked the time on her phone and cringed. "And now my friend is probably wondering if I died because it's taken so long. I have to go, sorry. It was nice to meet you, though!"
"It was nice to meet you too. I hope I see you around." He then added. "Yikes, I should probably be going too, anyways."
