Lucas jumped a bit and looked around for the source of the voice. "P-Phiri? Is that you?"

Trin points to Lucas. "Get him ready, Flint. He's bait"

"Shh! Yes, its me."

"Lucas! We'll get you while your up for bait!" Phiri promised.

"How'd you get here?" Lucas whispered, not hearing Trin. He clung to the bars of his cage.

"Up for bait?! W-What do you mean?"

Manilla eyes widen as she sees a siren jump out of the water and snatch a fire fairy from the bait rope. She doesn't tell Phiri. She doesn't want to scare Lucas.

"Lucas, quiet! They'll catch us!" Phiri ordered. "Their putting you up for siren bait! Manilla and I are going to sneak you out! Just be quiet and pretend you didn't see me!"

That really scared Lucas, but he just nodded nervously and looked away. He seemed to he shaking slightly, doubting he would make it out of here alive.

Manilla's eyes are still glued to the water.

As Lucas is dragged away, Phiri bites her nails nervously.

Lucas tried his best to control his breathing when he was grabbed none too gently and brought towards the water. Tears welled up in his eyes, and he stared down at the water, clearly terrified.

(I think what they mean is that when the other fairies save Lucas, Trin saves/captures them, maybe because she sees their bravery and wants them to fight, or maybe because she sees loyalty and wants them to help around the crew and stuff, I could be completely wrong but this is what I picked up)

Flint begrudgingly grabs Lucas, his anger showing through roughness he quickly regrets. Flint looks over the side, already seeing Sirens, he pulls up a rope and loosely ties Lucas to it.

All false calmness and secrets forgotten, Lucas began hyperventilating. "Phiri! H-Help!" He stared down at the sirens, tears falling from his eyes.
