Lillian thought for a second her hand wandering towards Darren's hair. She absent mindedly played with it, "I'd have to say Imagine Dragons. I absolutely adore their music, though a close second would be Alessia Cara."

"Very good choices!" Darren loved the way Lillian's hands felt in his hair and didn't stop her when she played with it. "One more… What would a perfect say be like for you?"
Lillian smiled softly looking into Darren's eyes, "The perfect day would be one spent with you. Yeah it sounds sappy, but it's true. I would introduce you to all the nerdy things I enjoy and you would fall in love with them too."
"What kind of nerdy things?" Darren quirked an eyebrow.
Lillian's face turned red, "Oh you know. Dungeons and Dragons, some different comic books and mangas, that kind of stuff."
Darren shook his head, "I have no clue what like half that stuff is. You should probably educate me today." Darren stared into Lillian's eyes.

MEANWHILE
On the other side of town, Luena was freaking out. None of her books had anything. None! Nothing on what the hell was causing her magic to fizzle out when trying to close the wound. Luena collapsed on her desk, exhausted. Well, she collapsed on a book. One that she didn't own. Genatrix was perched next to it, tilting her head towards it.
Luena gave her a quick pat on her head, and opened the book just as her familiar faded away. The book was called… it was called…
Luena groaned. It was the stupid language again! It kept shifting on the page, never settling into one letter. It was the same language that was left on a note addressed to her, right after her mother died.
Luena threw it back on the desk, and screamed. Her- her fingers! They were slowly… molting? Her smooth, pale skin was fading away to a smokey lavender colour. Luena was freaking out.
"What is wron- oh my…" Luena turned to Genatrix, who had morphed into her human form, and was sitting on her bed. Luena glared at her. Genatrix held Luena's hands in her own.
"I swear, my child. If this is what happens when you get angry…"
"No, it-it was when I touched the book that YOU brought me." Luena replied, pooling her magic in with her familiar to put up a glamour. Genatrix patted her on the head, disappearing before Luena could retaliate.
Luena groaned. Ugh. At least the weekend couldn't get worse…
(WE RETURN YOU TO YOUR SCHEDULED PROGRAM)
(oky I just needed to include Luena somewhere. im gone now. baiiii)
Lillian stared back, "I suppose I will. Now it's my turn."
(Ah yes, the regularly scheduled angst. Right on time.)
"Darren smiled, "Go ahead!"
(Ah yes, the regularly scheduled angst. Right on time.)
(lol)
Lillian smiled back, "Okay. What do you want to do when you get out of high school?"
Darren sighed, "I don't think I know. My dad wants me in football so I always thought that was my only option I guess."
"Well it's not your only option now," Lillian responded. Her hands threading through his hair, "Just tell me whatever you really wanted to do. No influence involved."
Darren thought on that for a moment, "I guess I'd want to sing. I love music and making a career out of it would be a dream."
Lillian nodded, "You have a great voice you know. What's your favorite play or musical?"
"As far as Broadway musicals go, I really like Hedwig and the Angry Inch because of its rock style music. Also, Dear Evan Hansen and Hamilton are more modern and I like those too." Darren surprised his self how many musicals he knew for a jock.
"Those are good choices!" Lillian smiled, at how many he knew, "For modern days I definitely have to say Hamilton owns my heart. Now final question, What's a perfect day in the life of Darren Anderson?"
"This is the perfect day." Darren smiled, very sure of it.
Lillian smiled and leaned down to kiss Darren's forehead. She whispered into his ear, "That's so sweet of you to say."
"I'm serious. I woke up with you, I ate breakfast with you, I get to be with you all day. My dad isn't here telling me what to do and your parents aren't going to intervene. It's just us and that's perfect to me."
Lillian smiled. She said softly, "Yeah, it really is perfect isn't it?"
Darren sat up and kissed Lillian before standing up and gesturing for her to do the same.
"Let's go we don't want to be late for our next destination, do we?"
Lillian stood up and kissed Darren on the cheek, "No we don't. Where to next?"
"That all depends on how much you love comic books…" Darren grinned.
"Sounds like I have a lot to learn."
Lillian grinned, "You do. And I absolutely adore comic books."
"Let's go then."
They pulled up in front of a huge game shop and comic book store. Darren held the door open for Lillian and the bell on the door rang as they entered.
The man behind the counter welcomed them and said if they needed help he would be more than happy, although it looked like Lillian knew what she was doing already.
