Frankie paced around her room, stumbling in her heels quite a bit before finally taking them off. They say time flys when you're having fun, but why does it have to go so slow when you're waiting to have fun? she wondered. And why do I have to move so much? For once I would like a good permanent home with solid friends who won't hurt me or betray me and take me as I am. She thought to herself sadly. Why me?

Ace's gaze flickered to Blake's fingers, unraveling his braids. His breath hitched and he sat down next to Blake. "Okay." Ace let himself succumb to Blake's hair and he began to run his hands through it, untangling the messy tangles. He whispered, "I've had a rough day."

"Me too." Blake huffed. "That's why I'm hella drunk, man." He gave Ace a lopesided smile, winking and shooting finger guns at him.
Ace laughed, "Man." his gaze softened, "Not the kind of rough day, like rough day, more like someone you loved died day."
Zander put Glimmer away, and started in," No you always braid hair when it's wet or damp. Otherwise it can cause long term damage to the scalp and it makes your life easier." He sat next to Ace and grabbed a nearby waterbottle.
"Me too!" Blake perked up, before sinking back down again, his eyes watering. "Or… sort of at least…"
He grimaced, "You're not old enough to drink. It could mess you up." Ace did finger guns right back and then smiled, "Let's get you back..Home." the word hadn't been spoken in Ace's mouth for a long time. And yet, it felt…Right. Like it really was home.
"I hope you're okay man, but the wet hair thing still stand's." Zander said.
Ace grabbed the waterbottle and began spraying a section of Blake's puffy, blond hair.
He smiled at the foreign boy, "Man. Did Blake steal your heart with his surfer slang like he stole mine?"
"Zander and Kata can come home too, right?" Blake asked, giving Ace large pleading eyes.
"Yes, yes," Zander said pulling out a princess unicorn brush," Now you have to do light even strokes."
Ace felt a pang of hurt. Those eyes..He cleared his throat, erasing the memory of the begging children on that goddamn slaver ship, "Yes."
He grabbed the princess unicorn brush out of the boy's hands and started brushing through Blake's many, many, many, tangles.
"Ow! Ace!" Blake whined, tugging away with a pout. He looked to Macha for help, but she simply leaned against the wall, watching on with quiet amusement.
"OK, so now that we established that I'm going with you, we must do LIGHT and EVEN, strokes"
"It's not my fault you don't brush your hair." Ace said, promptly.
Zander took the brush back and began brushing like a pro.
"You have to be gentle otherwise her—his head could be hurt. "
"Zander does it better!" Blake stuck his tongue out at Ace.
Ace wrenched the brush out of the boy's hands and started brushing Blake's hair softly. He glared at the foreign boy, "He's mine."
Zander pulled out more hair supplies and looked at Ace, " Supply and demand man, supply and demand." Then he began to do Blake's hair on the left side.
Ace glared at Zander, "Get your own Blake. This one's mine."

" I'm sorry but this" he said gesturing to Blake, " is more my area of expertise. Plus that is my brush." Zander suddenly realized he claimed the princess unicorn brush as his own.
Kata curled up in Blake's lap and purred against him.
