Elric glanced over at Daisy, and smiled faintly at her studious actions for a moment before his brow furrowed. He closed his eyes tightly and rubbed his forehead, letting out a breath somewhere between a sigh and a huff.
"Are you alright?" Daisy asked softly, glancing up.
Elric nodded briskly. “It's just a headache. I get them sometimes…” he groaned softly. “Sometimes too often.”
"Do you need to take something for the pain? I can make some tea when we get back that would help."
“No, no. I’ll be fine.” Elric said, shaking his head. “They don't last long. Just… they’re just weird. They come and go so quickly.” he sighed.
"Ah. I'm sorry. That could be a medical condition.. or it could be a magical affliction.. Do you know which?"
Elric nodded and gave Daisy a tired and resigned look. “It’s not medical.” he admitted. “It's cause of the… Well, I guess you might be the best one to admit this to.” he muttered.
"Its cause of the artifact thing? Did you look into it?" She guessed, worried.
"I'm not as good at completely magical medicine.."
“Yeah.” he sighed, his shoulders dropping. “And they’re not just headaches. I think they’re memories. Flashes of who… what I used to be, but they don't make sense. Probably because I’m so different from what I’m seeing that they don't feel like… what I am now.” Elric tried to explain.
"Can.. you explain to me.. more about how the mirror works?" Daisy asked softly.
"I don't really know how it works. I don't even fully understand what happened to me." he started. “I just know that when I grabbed it, I saw something out of the corner of my eye. I swear it felt like I just took a glimpse to see it better…” Elric admitted. “I don't know how long I actually ended up looking at that accursed reflection, but when someone tapped me on the shoulder, they pulled me out of it. Everyone else in the party acted like nothing had happened, nothing was wrong…” he shook his head, his brow furrowing. “But I knew something was different.” He sighed again, calming back down a little. “I don’t know if these… flashes, these headaches are because I didn’t look long enough, so this “change” is incomplete, or if this is like a punishment for even looking in the first place.”
"I.. wouldn't suggest trying to 'complete' the 'change'. I can help you look into it, though, if you'd like?"
Elric managed a soft chuckle, putting his hands up. “Trust me. I have no intention of looking in that mirror again.” he assured with a small smile. “But if you’d like to help me look for more information about it, then you are more than welcome.”
She nodded, setting her books aside and glancing through the ones Elric had gotten.
"I'm happy to help."
"Thank you." Elric smiled, returning to the book he had been reading.
"Of course," she said softly, sitting back and skimming through the book she had grabbed for any mention of the artifact.
“Are you going to tell the others?” Elric asked softly, not looking up from his book.
"No. It's not my secret to tell." Daisy said softly back, also not looking up.
“Thank you.” Elric sighed. “I promise I won't keep this secret for our entire quest… I just… I don't know. I don't think Rae likes me very much and Charlie seems like she doesn't keep secrets from Rae specifically.”
"I don't think Rae dislikes you, she's just.. not super trusting. And it makes sense, considering her background." Daisy noted.
Elric nodded thoughtfully. “Right. That makes sense. I almost forgot about that.” he winced.
"She'll warm up to you. Probably." Daisy said, offering a reassuring smile.
“I hope so.” Elric chuckled softly as he continued browsing his book.
"And even if she didn't, I don't think she should do anything to hurt you. I also don't thing she would leave you to die. So she must like you a little bit." Daisy noted, also turning back to skimming her book.
Elric hummed softly. “I’m glad to hear that. Something tells me I would hate to be on her bad side.” he smirked briefly.
Daisy thought about it for a minute, then laughed softly and shook her head.
"Definitely not."
Elric smiled at Daisy’s laugh and returned to his book.

(I don't know… I hadn't decided if it's too early for that info or not. What’s your opinion?)
( I'd say maybe a brief mention, something about it being rumored to have been made by a jealous entity, but nothing in depth?)
