(Elrics- he'd recognize a vague mention while Daisy might not. Also sorry for late reply- I've been sick and notebook keeps breaking when I am awake enough to check it-)

(ok. Sorry for the delay on my end too. I’ve had the same problem with the site being down… plus a little struggle with how to phrase the reply. Hope you’re feeling better though.)

A silent moment passed between then, save for the soft sound of turning pages, before Elric blinked and furrowed his brow. His lips forming words without sound as he reread a passage in the book.

“I… I think so.” Elric murmured. “Listen to this… ‘On this date a party of adventurers, boasting of a successful quest, was ambushed by a madman who claimed they had raided his home and stolen from him. The adventurers quickly subdued their would-be attacker and reported that the tower they had conquered had been abandoned and that no one had lived there for years, except perhaps the monsters they vanquished.
Even as the madman was taken away, he continued raving about a glass that changed him, that made him different. Insisting the adventurers had stolen it and that he needed to find it. This, however, is an estimation of what he was going on about as his ramblings made little sense. After being locked up for public safety, his ramblings degraded until all anyone could make out was 'Jealous.' or 'Jealousy'.’”

"Do you think the 'glass' is the artifact we have? It sounds like it might be. Does it say where the man was locked up? Or what adventuring party it was? Or is that all it says?"
Daisy sounded curiously, moving to look at the passage.

Elric angled the book so Daisy could have a better view of its pages and shrugged. “I think it is. I didn't read the whole thing in detail, mostly skimming until I found that part.” he admitted. “But the party seems to be kept vague, probably to avoid being hounded for this kind of thing. And I haven't seen a mention of where that man was locked up… likely either for his protection or to protect the public.”

@Avhira-The-Eldritch-Horror group

"Well.. it gives us something, at least? Not much, but it might help. Should we tell the others?" She asked, reading the passage thoroughly and scanning the rest of the page.

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

"Yeah." Elric nodded, taking out a notebook and quickly copying the text from the book, his penmanship flawless. "Maybe… I don't know if… I-I mean, we can tell them. Charlie's been on a few adventures, right? Maybe she'd have some ideas or heard about something like this…"

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

“I think… I don't think we’ll find much else on this topic, since this is so vague anyway.” Elric shrugged. “But if you want to stay and read your books, since I distracted you, we can stay a bit longer. I thought I saw an other section I would like to check out real quick too.”

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Elric gathered his books on magic artifacts and stood up. “… History. I'll be back in a moment.” he answered before walking away, dropping off the books on the return cart as he went.

Daisy nodded, then went back to reading her own books, writing things down in her notebook. Once in a while, she pulled out a different colored pen to make other notes, then jotted down a quick list on a separate piece of paper.

Elric glanced over his shoulder back at Daisy before darting down the aisles. Finding the specific book took a little longer than he had expected, but just holding it filled him with a mess of hope and nerves at the same time.

@Avhira-The-Eldritch-Horror group

(ooohhh what book does he have?)
Daisy didn't notice, thoroughly focused on her own studies, making notes about what plants she wanted to get, and where she might find them.

(😏😏😏)

Elric quietly rejoined Daisy, taking out a second notebook from his bag before flipping through the pages. He paused every once in a while and made multiple notes every so often.

“Hmm?” Elric blinked, looking up from his book at Daisy’s question. “Oh, I didn't realize how long we’d been here.” he admitted. He glanced back at the book and nodded as he closed it. “Yeah, we can head back.”

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Elric shook his head. “I don't know if that's necessary. This is just a … curiosity.” he shrugged as he followed her, placing the book face down on the cart. “I don't know if it's going to lead to anything, and I’m not sure if I’m even really expecting it to.” he admitted.
