Daisy rushed over and looked over. "Oh! I'm not sure if I can fully treat you here, but I can get you bandaged and into a safe, sterile environment to heal you in, is that alright?" She posed the question at both of them.

Daisy smiles and turned to Irae. "I'm going to pick you up, okay?"
Irae nodded, and Daisy cast a quick spell and quickly picked up the goddess, draping a blanket over her body to hide her tail, moving quickly up. "Will you follow me?" She asked Charlie.

Charlie raised a brow at the action but nodded as the elf directed her attention back to her. “Well, technically she’s my responsibility right now. So… Lead the way.” she chuckled with a small smirk, gesturing back to the village.

Staying to mostly back streets, Daisy led them to a small house, three rooms, and set Irae down in the first room, sitting up, and unwrapping the wounds. "Alright, I can use magic to speed up natural healing, and to check if there is anything internally that needs extra attention. If there is, I have magic that might be able to help, but I can't regrow lost limbs or anything."

Charlie couldn't help smiling at the measures the elf was taking to make sure that Irae wasn't seen. It was an odd relief in a way… probably because she didn't know how people would react to seeing a goddess in such a state. Much less on this plane. As far as she knew, deities didn't often leave their realm, much less visit others.

Inside the room, Daisy did as she said she would as she talked. "There we go! The blood coughing seemed to be due to the back injuries, so it should subside as you heal. It will still take a bit, maybe a day or so, but if you keep it wrapped you should be able to move."

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Charlie took a seat in a corner so she wouldn't be in the medic's way and took down her hood. If this elf could be this discreet about healing Irae, then she didn't see a reason to keep hiding herself as well. It's not like she was a criminal or anything anyway. She was just cautious. "So, she'll be alright?"

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Charlie winced at the information, her own tail curling, almost reflexively, in her lap at the thought of losing it, and cast a sympathetic look at Irae. She'd never had wings but she'd heard plently of stories from older adventurers in taverns who had lost one limb or another. And the sensation of phantom limbs still sounded odd to her but at least she could take those stories as a way to prepare for what Irae was bound to experiance. "Is there anything I can do to help? Or should I try to find some place for us to stay for a couple of days?"

@Avhira-The-Eldritch-Horror group

Daisy shrugged. "Like I said, she should be able to move in an hour or so after I bandage her up, and you two are welcome to stay here for a day or two if you need, though I don't have a ton of room."
Irae curled her own tail, the end almost entirely mutilated, and shrugged. It might not have been a weapon anymore, but she'd survive. And her wings had already been entirely torn off, she knew they couldn't grow back in her current state.

Charlie echoed the shrug. "I… I saw an inn earlier when I was running down the streets." she remembered, shifting awkwardly in the chair as her tail twitched slightly. "I usually prefer camping but, the inn would be more comfortable and closer to you if you need to keep an eye on her while she's healing for the next day or two." she admitted thoughtfully as she glanced at Irae, asking her opinion on the topic.

(so do I 🥱)

“I doubt that you, of all people, are going to die anytime soon.” Charlie chuckled lightly. “But I know what you mean. I’m pretty easygoing about where I end up sleeping.” she admitted with a playful wink. “But I still think you’ll rest and recover better in a real bed. So, I guess the question is how discreet is the inn? Or is it too public?”

@Avhira-The-Eldritch-Horror group

Daisy shrugged. "I mean- I've heard that if you're impolite, and someone comes in looking for you who is polite, they'll break rules to tell them where you are.. like if you're having an affair or something. So it might be better for both of you to wear robes and hoods, but as long as you're polite you shouldn't have a problem."

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

“Affairs aren't my style so no worries about that.” Charlie chuckled. “And I have a hooded cloak. I think I have another in my pack… just hope it covers enough since I don't think we’re quite the same size.” she admitted, already starting to search for the spare cloak in her pack.

@Avhira-The-Eldritch-Horror group

Daisy nodded. "I also have an extra one somewhere, I never wear it, it's far too big for me, but it was a gift so I've kept it. I'm happy to loan it to you if you need."
Irae nodded tentatively, not fully trusting the healer but grateful for her help.

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

“Great!” Charlie grinned as she pulled her spare cloak out of her pack. “If we have any more problems, we’ll find you. Thank you so much for your help.” she added sincerely, grabbing her coin purse and opening it. “How much do we owe you for everything?”

@Avhira-The-Eldritch-Horror group

Daisy shook her head. "It was my pleasure, I couldn't accept payment for helping a goddess." She smiled. "I do my work mostly for free anyway, asking mostly for just the material costs of any herbs or help gathering them if I used any, which I didn't."

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Charlie smiled gratefully at the elf's generosity but still pulled out a couple of silver coins. “That's very kind of you but I would feel awkward not paying you for your time and effort.” she admitted almost sheepishly.

@Avhira-The-Eldritch-Horror group

Daisy smiled thankfully. "Thank you! I find that doing it this way actually pays me better than people who charge a rate. People who can't afford treatment will give me a meal or seeds if they have them, and people who can often pay much more than I would get if I charged a rate. But it doesn't really cost me anything to heal people, so I don't charge for it." She explained. She accepted the coins, and offered to help get them settled at the inn.
Irae stayed silent, taking in the room and watching both others for threats.

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Charlie couldn't help chuckling at the shrewdness of that business plan, but nodded as she happily turned over the coins. “You are an absolute delight and treasure.” she grinned as the elf offered to help them with the inn. “I’m Charlotte, but I also go by Charlie.”

@Avhira-The-Eldritch-Horror group

Daisy smiled. "Daisy. And Irae, it's nice to meet you too."
Irae looked up and nodded.
"I suppose you both don't need an introduction to me, as you both have used my name."
Her voice didn't seem to be bothering her as much anymore.
"It is.. good to meet you both as well." She said, choosing her words carefully.
