“I’m not actually sure.” Charlie admitted, scrunching her face up thoughtfully. “I know there is a village not far from here, I just prefer camping.” she shrugged as she finished wrapping the bandage around Irae’s tail. “Do you think you can make it there with me?”

@Avhira-The-Eldritch-Horror group

Irae nodded, slowly standing and reaching out to grab something to steady herself. A tree if there was one there towards Charlie if there wasn't. She was unsteady but able to walk, and she curled her tail up slightly, trying to make it less visible.

Charlie quickly moved to support Irae and help her get to her feet. “Easy. Take it nice and slow right now.” she advised calmly before guiding Irae toward the nearest tree. “Just give me one second to make sure I have everything and we’ll head on, ok?”

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Charlie had already been in the middle of packaging up before Irae had been dropped into her camp, so it didn't take her too long to finish gathering everything before she was ready to move on.
She adjusted the strap on her pack and walked back up to Irae, her tail flicking nervously as she reached towards the goddess. “Alright. Come on. Just lean on me and we’ll head to town.”

@Avhira-The-Eldritch-Horror group

Irae nodded, half leaning on and half following Charlie. She seemed like she wanted to say something, but she was trying hard not to cough again as it were, and she was worried that if she coughed up more blood, it would make whatever wound was causing the blood worse. So she stayed silent, walking.

Charlie gave Irae a small encouraging smile and continued walking towards the town. "You know what? I don't think I've introduced myself yet." she mused with a light chuckle. "I wouldn't be surprised if you already know who I am, but it still feels funny. I'm suposed to take care of you and I've completely forgotten to tell you my name."

@Avhira-The-Eldritch-Horror group

Irae nodded, then shrugged, indicating that she did not know her name. Then she tilted her head as if to say 'well, what is it?'. She was feeling more lucid now, but that led her to feel the pain of her wounds.

Irae nodded, but determined she'd still properly introduce herself when she wasn't worried about talking anymore. She watched the trees for any threats, keeping an eye on the surroundings and path.

“Yeah. I don't care which you call me. If you stick with one or switch it up, I don't care.” Charlie smiled, continuing to fill the silence… Though she was starting to wonder what else she could talk about. When she traveled alone, she was used to it being quiet. But she had no problem holding conversations whenever she had a companion. “You are probably going to be the most interesting traveling partner I’ll ever have.”

Irae looked ahead, seeing the gate and whispering. "Leave me here while you see if there's a discreet medic around here. I don't want word getting out that I'm here. Would cause problems." She said, then coughed again, small amounts of blood in her hand when she pulled it away.

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Charlie nodded at the instruction and carefully helped Irae settle against the nearest tree. “I’ll hurry back as soon as I can find one. Or a cleric that can keep their mouth shut,” she promised, slipping her pack off her shoulders. “Here. Just prop yourself against this and get comfy. I’ll be back soon.”

Charlie cast a quick smile at Irae and pulled up the hood of her cloak as she dashed off toward the town. She really didn't want to leave Irae alone for too long, especially if she was badly hurt and she was responsible for the other woman, but knew it was necessary.

Most towns and villages had a fairly similar layout so getting past the gate and finding the general area where a medic or healer would be set up. She was careful not to let too much of her red skin show as not many people were skeptical, at best, around tieflings and rogues in general.

(alright.)
Daisy, an elven mage specializing in healing, was walking around town in her healers robes, on her way back from a house call, when she tripped and -quite literally- fell into a hooded stranger. "Ah! I'm so sorry, that was totally my fault-" she said, righting herself.

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Charlie grunted as she was knocked down, the air in her lungs escaping in a huff. "It's alright. I was in a hurry." she admitted breathlessly as she made sure her hood hadn't fallen down. "I need to find a medic. My… friend is hurt badly." she explained before noticing the robes. "How skiled are you?"

@Avhira-The-Eldritch-Horror group

"I'm a mage specializing in healing. Not the best, I suppose, but I'm cheap and have saved several lives. How can I help?" Daisy asked kindly. "I already have my medicine bag, so you can lead the way."

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

“Great!” Charlie couldn't help grinning, feeling a flicker of relief. “I have enough to pay you fairly, plus extra if you don't mention this to anyone.” she explained as she turned back to where she left Irae. “She’s just outside of the village.”

@Avhira-The-Eldritch-Horror group

Daisy nodded. "I can discreetly treat people.. but if the reason for discreetness endangers my patient or myself, I will remove the threat. Similarly, if I see signs of an abusive situation, I am obligated to remove the patient from the situation. If it is just due to the patient not wanting to be seen or a criminal who hasn't really done anything that wrong trying not to get caught- that sort of thing- I am more then willing to stay silent for no extra fee." She explained. "I do my best to make my patients trust me and feel safe while being treated."

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

(been there lol. Don't worry, your reply makes sense )

Charlie nodded and started leading the medical elf. “I can assure you, as far as I know, the reason for her injuries is none of those. I think she was in a fight or something and… well, she doesn't look good. It's more a matter of just not wanting people to know she was injured.” she explained.

@Avhira-The-Eldritch-Horror group

Daisy nodded, smiling kindly. "In that case, yes, I can remain silent. May I ask what your friend's name is?" She asked kindly, following Charlie at a brisk pace.
Irae had taken off her shirt and some of the bandages around her torso, trying to see the wounds on her back from where her wings had been torn off, keeping her tail out of the way and off the ground. She wasn't sure what was causing her bloody cough, but it was more likely to be the wounds on her back then the wounds on her tail.

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

“You can ask… and I’ll tell you what is, but this is one of the things you’ll have to keep quiet about,” Charlie said, her voice low and urgent as she glanced over her shoulder, ensuring no one was eavesdropping. A mixture of concern and caution flashed across her face as she continued, glancing over her shoulder with a raised brow. “It’s Irae and no, I’m not joking and she really is in bad shape.”

@Avhira-The-Eldritch-Horror group

Daisy's eyes flashed with recognition at the name and nodded. "Let's go then. I promise I won't say a word to anyone." She said, speeding up a bit. She knew who Irae was, although she didn't worship her. She still didn't want a god dying, that could cause a lot of problems in the world-
