cardboard boxes are the best for everything, and hot glue guns, other than being good for putting projects together, make very good hotglue strings for spiderwebs.

Place things very precariously so they fall while the people are going through, put things in the way and make it rlly dark in some places; also fake bugs (particularly spiders and scorpions) can look surprisingly real in the right light. so
also squishy stuff to step on, maybe somebrittle sticks (like bones). I'm under the assumption that it's taking place in dim light so. if they're very clearly sticks maybe paint them white? it's alr if they're not pure white because rotting bones are obviously not pure white.
also candles could be fun. out of the way obviously cuz fire

i want my adhd character to stand out more and main character doesn't have adhd. i honestly just have no idea how neurotypicals function without constantly moving around, knowing what time it is naturally (wtf is that???) or having a "normal" thought process

Honestly this is the best brief explanation I've ever seen of neurodivergency.
If I'm being real I don't think about the neuro whatevers of my characters but I think there are definitely some that embody ADHD. they stand out from the others because the others have more streamlined dialogue, thought and action. Meanwhile those (us, it appears) who are affected by ADHD go back and forth, are indecisive, confusing and/or impulsive in what we say and do.
