Cathal looks at her. He was avoiding eye contact, but he did seem worried for her. He kept eyeing her injuries. No telling what was going through this poor mans mind.
Suddenly, the mans watch beeps and he curses in Irish. "Teds waiting for me…" He mumbles. "Probably scared to death poor thing…" He whispers.
"I suppose… I could but I don't think I'll be able to stay.. I'm making my way up towards Seattle, there's suppose to be a quarantine up there it's the closest one too us. " she said clutching the first aid kit.
Cathal nods. "Ok…cool. Follow me then. Teds gonna be happy to see you. That's for sure." He chuckles as he walks home. "Did…you have any pets? Before all this?"
Azra followed after him lifting her shirt just enough to look at her wound before looking up when asked a question. "I have a dog… ace, I left him in an old abandoned apartment building about a mile and a half away he's got food and water… I couldn't take him with me in case I didn't make it to supplies fast enough… I gotta get back to him soon though. '
Cathal smiles. "Oh? What breed is he? Teddy's golden retriever and German Shepard." He sighs as he makes his way to a fence in a clearing and he grabs some bleach. "Those things hate this stuff. So they can't ever get in here if I cover my scent with it."
"He's a blue nosed pit bull, I found him a few years ago before all this shit happened, raised him from a puppy, I hate leaving him alone but I couldn't risk both our lives on the off chance I didn't make it. "
She nodded her head in agreement at the mention of bleach "yeah.. I haven't been able to get my hands on any, the shelves of damn near every store have been emptied completely. "
"Heh…not where I am. Look around. This is an army base." He motions to the equipment. "I gotta bunker here." He walks to a bunker and unlocks the door. He's then immediately greeted by a very happy looking dog.
"Teddy! Hey boy! Did you miss me? I got you treats!" He laughs.
Azra followed him, not once letting her guard down on the off chance that this was a trap, watched the dog closely, she didn't know if he had noticed her but she'd taught ace to attack, so this man could have as well.
After Teddy was done getting all his excitement out of Cathal, he moved to Azra. His tail wagged quickly and he politely sat down in front of her. Cathal seemed pleased with this and gently pet the dog. "Good boy." He mutters. He then looks to Azra, "This is Ted. He's my service dog. You can pet him if you'd like." He smiles warmly.
Azra looked down at the dog and a small smile appeared on her lips.
She looked up at cathal as he spoke to her and bent down to pet the dog "well it's nice to mean you teddy, I'm azra."
Teddy panted heavily, then nuzzled into her hand. His fluffy tail thumped onto the floor as it quickly wagged. He definitely seemed very happy to have a visitor.
Cathal chuckled softly as he watched, seeming to relax as he gently pet the dog as well. “Good boy.” He murmured.
