They all live in Encinitas, California, where they all attend Rockland high school. Despite being an all juniors friend group, they took in Tamirah because all of them were in the same AP Bio class. When they are unwillingly placed in the same group for a research project at the tar pits of La Brea. They enjoy going the Orville boardwalk arcade, where they meet Carlos diAngelo, who has worked at the ticket and prize booth for four years.
