Tseth: “Fair enough.” He looks over at Rhiv as he starts climbing the tree. “Appreciate the input, Rhiv.” He glances over at Alex, who now has his eyes closed. He can’t tell if he’s asleep or not, but he’s not going to bother him to find out. He stares a moment longer, before laying down on his back.

Rhiv: another night, another vigil. at least Salmook seems to be sleeping soundly. that's where most of Rhiv's attention is. Tseth and Resh can deal with themselves for all Rhiv cares. he rubs at his eyes again, not out of sleepiness, but in an attempt to wipe away some blurriness. it doesn't work.

Tseth: He sits back up not long after he laid down. He was restless. He takes out his swords silently and begins cleaning them. It’s long overdue, the blood from both fights on them. But it’s something to occupy his hands, so he wasn’t complaining.

Resh: He continues staring at the sky for a while, then takes another glance at Juni. He smiles slightly at her, then closes his eyes, starting to doze off.

Parvus: He chitters and stands up, watching Tseth with wide eyes.

Salmook: he rolls over in his blanket-wrap. fine then - if nobody wants to listen to him, he'll talk to himself. he mutters some story to himself - something about a tree that wants to be a mountain? it doesn't make much sense, even if anyone could hear it properly.

Parvus: He purrs and closes his eyes when Tseth pets him, then continues watching him curiously.

Resh: He’s completely still and silent as he falls asleep, the only sign of life being the soft glow that both he and Juni emit.

Rhiv: he grumbles to himself. he is NOT going to switch because he is NOT going to sleep because he DOESN'T NEED IT. he settles on a low-hanging branch. it's a little uncomfortable, but that's just what he needs to stay awake.

Tseth: After a while he finishes cleaning his swords. He examines them, making sure he didn’t miss anything. Not much to do now, and Rhiv’s been up there for a bit. He probably wouldn’t take too kindly to being kicked out of the tree. Oh well. He silently stands up and sheathes his swords.

Salmook: he starts to kick at the air. how is he supposed to sleep when he's not tired? he wiggles out of his blanket-wrap and unrolls it back into his regular cloak. he sits on it and starts to pull up the grass. Pater is probably watching, but Salmook doesn't care. "Hi, Tsethy - uh, Tseth. I'm bored-bored-bored-bored-bored."

@Morals-are-for-mortals language

Tseth: Well I guess that changes my plans. He lowers his voice so that no one would be woken up. “Really? And what do you want me to do?” His voice isn’t accusatory, he meant it to be more of an open question.

Rhiv: it takes him a few beats to understand what's going on, since he can't see much of anything. Salmook's awake? Rhiv is half-tempted to jump down and put Salmook back to bed, but there's a good chance he'd land on Salmook. besides, Tseth might get a little snippy at him, too. Rhiv settles back down on the branch, listening in for the time being.

Salmook: he nudges Parvus away, shaking his head. Salmook looks back up at Tseth and shrugs. "I don't know. I'm so-" he takes a deep breath as if he's about to yell, but he decides against it. "…bored. What do you do when you can't sleep?"

@im-with-stoopid pets

Rhiv: he meets Tseth's gaze and narrows his eyes - it's not like Tseth can see it anyways. "Still here."

Salmook: maybe it's the sleeplessness, maybe it's just that surprising. whatever it is, Salmook makes a face like he's just seen a tree get up and walk away. "You don't? Wow, wow, wow-" he's taken aback for a moment before he throws a clump of grass at Parvus. "Bad Parvus, don't be mean."
