Tseth: He lightly nudges Parvus and Ater away from each other with his foot, sitting down next to Alex.

Ater: He glares at Parvus, before squeezing between Tseth and Alex and laying down between them.

Parvus: He looks offended at Tseth, then at Ater. He jumps up onto Tseth’s shoulder, curling up and huffing.

Salmook: he looks at Ater. "What do you think? Is it too grassy, not grassy, or just right? I think the grass could use some grassing so it's not as grassy as grass. Grass is a funny word, right? Grass-grass-grass-grass-grass-grass-"

Ater: He raises his head staring at Salmook as he talks. He then curls up into a ball, and it almost looks like he’s trying to cover his ears.

Tseth: He chuckles at Salmook. “I think we get what you’re trying to say.” He looks down at Ater and starts petting him.

Parvus: He stares up at Tseth, then nudges him with his snout, chittering. It looks like he wants attention.

Salmook: he lays his cloak out on the grass and lays on top of it. to be honest, he looks a little weird not wearing it. his cloak is big enough to function like a bed and a blanket, at least for someone Salmook's size. "I wonder if you can make grass juice? Or grass tea?"

Rhiv: stars above, the sooner Salmook falls asleep, the better. for the time being, he tries his hardest to tune the kid out.

Tseth: He takes Parvus off his shoulder, holding him in his hand. He stares at him for a moment before giving him to Alex.

Alex: He looks up at Tseth after he hands him Parvus. “…why?” After he doesn’t get a definitive response, he looks down at Parvus and starts petting him.

Parvus: He huffs at Tseth, but accepts Alex’s pets anyway, purring.

Juni: She sits down on the ground, and she looks a little tired.

Resh: He sits down next to Juni, taking off his cloak and giving it to her again.

Juni: She takes Resh’s cloak and wraps it around herself, leaning against Resh.

(Man’s probably looks so awkward without his cloak 💀)

Salmook: he's about to go on another tangent about the quality of grass here, but he catches Pater's side-eye and decides against it. he grabs one end of his cloak and rolls, turning himself into a sort of blanket-wrap. "I'm not tired! Story! Story! Story!"

Rhiv: he's just about at his wit's end, and he can't for the life of him remember anything he'd tell Salmook at home. he drops his face into his hands and groans softly.

Tseth: He'd laugh at Rhiv’s reaction if he didn’t completely agree with him. This kid was energetic after all that happened to him? He was impressed, really. He sighs and looks at Salmook. “What kind of story do you want?”

Parvus: He chitters and curls up into a ball, covering his head with one of his wings.

Salmook: he rolls around in his blanket-wrap until he's facing Tseth. "I want the mountain story!" he doesn't elaborate on what exactly it's about.

Rhiv: he shrugs. he's not sure what the "mountain story" is, either.

Tseth: He looks pretty confused. “Right, the mountain story… what’s the mountain story about again?”

Alex: He laughs and says something in a foreign language to Tseth.

Tseth: He looks over at Alex. “I’d like to see how well you do with this-“

Resh: He tilts his head at Salmook, but doesn’t say anything.

Juni: She’s started dozing at this point, wrapped up in Resh’s cloak.

Salmook: he looks shocked, as if the idea that people don't know the mountain story is unbelievable. "Uh, the mountain story? You don't know? It's about the pebble?! And the river?! And it's the best sleep story ever."

Tseth: He shakes his head. “I don’t think we have. It seems you’re the only one who does know.”

Ater: He climbs into Tseth’s lap, curling up into a ball of fluff.

Resh: He looks down at Juni, noticing her dozing. “…Guess I’m stuck here now-“

Parvus: He looks at Ater, and jumps down from Alex’s hand, crouching down. It looks like he’s about to pounce on Ater again.

Salmook: he groans, and rolls over some more. "Ah! How do I sleep without a story?! It's im-posser-bowl!"

Rhiv: his fists clench. he doesn't want to yell at Salmook, but the kid's being unnecessarily loud. Rhiv takes a deep breath. "Salmook. Quiet. Please."

Salmook: he pretty much freezes in place, staring at Rhiv. he shudders and disappears into his blanket-wrap. _"Sorry."

Tseth: He gives Parvus a warning look. He was starting to get on his nerves. Well, everything was.

Alex: He looks around, and lies down in the grass. He stares up at the tree canopy and the stars poking through it.

Parvus: He huffs and flares out his wings, chittering angrily at Tseth.

Resh: He glances around at the others, then shifts to a more comfortable position, wrapping his arms around Juni. He looks slightly annoyed, but he’d rather not wake up Juni.

Rhiv: he sighs. it's going to be a long night, isn't it? he stands and pats Salmook's blanket-wrap. "Sorry, Mook." he looks up at the rest of the group. "I'm going on watch, alright?"

Tseth: He looks over at Rhiv. “Alright. I’ll switch you out in a couple hours.” He glances at Resh, who’s stuck with Juni laying on him.

Resh: He turns slightly so he can lean against a tree trunk, then looks at Tseth. “Can’t really move much without waking her up.” So I have to sleep tonight, or stay awake and be bored all night.

Juni: She stirs slightly, then shifts her position and continues sleeping.

Rhiv: he suppresses the urge to huff at Tseth. he walks to a nearby tree and begins to climb up. "I think I'll be fine."
