Salmook: he seems pleased with that answer, nodding to himself. "Sometimes I wake up and Pater isn't there. It's… it's lonely."
he pauses for a bit. "But I - I know he does it for me. For my good. You like your Pater?" he tips his head over to where Juni is, only paying half attention to Alex now.
Rhiv: he tries to huff, but another yawn chokes him. he coughs instead. "Constantly."
(Rhiv is making me yawn)
Alex: Well, mine usually told us where he was going, but alright. "Sure, I do. Even if he was a little.. unaccepting at times." He glances at Tseth for a moment after he says this.
Tseth: He glances back at Juni. "See something?"
(hmmm)
(looks around I said nothing)
Resh: He nods. “I get that feeling.”
Juni: She looks back at Tseth, startled. “Oh- no. Probably just my mind playing tricks on me…”

Rhiv: …really? he's not sure how to feel about that. is Resh being honest, or is he just trying to get on Rhiv's good side? maybe Rhiv could play along for now. "Is… the - the little one. That's your kid?"
Salmook: he doesn't see anything in Juni's direction either, but he's a bit more on edge again. his focus returns to Alex.
"My pater? Best pater EVER. He even sings bedtime songs when he doesn't want to. All for me!" Salmook grins even more.

Kay: A random guy is kind of just there. Well dressed, pretty normal looking except for a rusty red hint to his eyes. He has no clue where he is or what he's doing.
(uh who now)
Tseth: He nods. "Alright then." He suddenly stops walking when he sees a stranger in the path. His hand moves back to one of his sheathed swords, just in case.
Alex: "Ah, that sounds.. who is that-?" He looks at the stranger.
Resh: “Oh, you mean Juni? She’s my daughter-“ He pauses, then draws his sword and glares at the stranger. “Who are you?”
Juni: She blinks a few times, then looks back to where she saw the movement from earlier. It had to have been from another person. She looks back to see whether anyone’s watching her or not, then goes back into the forest to investigate.
Parvus: He looks at the stranger, hopping down from Tseth’s shoulder and approaching the stranger. He bats at Kay’s feet, chittering.
Rhiv: his gaze focuses on the stranger, and his heart starts a double-beat. its hard to tell what their exact intentions are just yet… if that stranger so much as breathes on Salmook, he'll rip their arms off. Rhiv's fists clench, and he twirls his hatchet.
Salmook: he eyes get wide as he notices the stranger. he freezes for a moment, and then he hides behind Alex. "Who- who are they?"
(don't take it personal, Kay, it's just Rhiv is just consistently ready to chew cement if it would stop his son from getting a papercut-)
Kay: "I am Kay. Who are you guys?" He seemed overwhelmed at the moment, and looked very confused.
Ater: He looks between the stranger and Juni. He decides to follow Juni, walking up beside her and giving a questioning "mrrrr?"
Tseth: He pauses, assessing Kay. He didn't seem like much of a threat, for now. "Tsethlekai Stryker. Call me Tseth."
Alex: He spreads his wings a bit, giving a bit more of space for Salmook to hide. "My name's Alex."
Juni: She ventures through the forest, then sees another movement in the corner of her vision. That must be them. She hears Ater’s noise and turns around, cursing and crouching down. “Hey- what are you doing? Uh- go back to the others, I’m okay.” Can he even understand me?
Resh: He stares at Kay suspiciously. “I’m Resh Corvus. This is my da-“ He looks over to Juni, only to realize she isn’t there. “…daughter. Where’s Juni?” He looks back to the others, fear visible on his face.
Salmook: he doesn't answer – he's too busy cowering. he fiddles with his toy again, only it's more stressed than before.
Rhiv: Alex is… protecting Salmook? interesting… he takes a step towards the stranger. "Rhiv." he tries to keep his threatening air up despite Resh's concern. he… knows that feeling. he takes a deep breath to clear his mind.
"And what do you think you're doing… Kay?"

Ater: He stares at Juni, and stubbornly sits down. She wouldn't be able to get rid of him easily.
Tseth: Ah, shit. She went to see whatever it was she saw, didn't she? He looks to Resh. "She was looking at some movement she thought she saw in the forest. I can only guess she went after it." He looks around again. Ater must have followed her.
Juni: “No- shoo-” She falls silent as a twig snaps nearby, holding her breath. This was a terrible idea…
Resh: “Shit, shit, shit…” He starts pacing back and forth. “Did you see where she went?”
Salmook: there's so much happening right now- it's a little overwhelming. there's a stranger in the way and Juni is missing and Pater left and what is going on? he hugs Alex's leg, his head starting to hurt.
Rhiv: he grits his teeth. as much as he wants to keep up his imposing front, he keeps imagining himself in Resh's boots. one step at a time, Rhiv. break the stranger's arms first and then help Resh. "Kay, huh? And where are you from?"
