Parvus: He closes his eyes and flares out his wings, climbing up to Tseth’s shoulder when he stands up.

Juni: She continues staring at Rhiv, then notices him looking in her direction for a moment. She inhales sharply and retreats back into the tree, hoping he didn’t see her.

Resh: He stays silent, still staring at Rhiv. He seems to have a staring problem.

Rhiv: he notices Resh staring at him and scoffs. Rhiv probably does look like a wreck, doesn't he? he rubs at the bags beneath his eyes and yawns. Rhiv won't fall asleep now. not while Salmook seems so energetic. not while he's surrounded by strangers. who's to say they aren't faking this? that they don't have an ulterior motive? yeah, right.

Salmook: is it just him or is everyone… mad? Salmook tries to, hopefully, lighten the mood.
"Uh… Mr. Resh, sir? Maybe you can fly up and, uh, see the forest from up high? I'll… I'll bet flying's better than walking."

Tseth: He turns to Alex, speaking to him in their language. He seems happy, but the nature of their language makes it hard to discern.

Alex: He replies, and then moves closer to Tseth. He stares at Parvus perched on Tseth's shoulder for a few moments curiously.

Parvus: He stares back at Alex, then jumps over to his shoulder. He chitters at Alex a few times, then pokes his face with his snout.

Resh: He looks down at Salmook and nods, then takes off and flies up above the trees, scanning the area.

Juni: She waits for a few moments, then pokes her head back out of the foliage. She leans forward a bit too far and falls out of the tree with a small, panicked chirping noise.

Rhiv: he flinches hard as Juni chirps, reaching for his weapon, again, on instinct. he stops as he grasps the handle, though. this is going to take some getting used to, isn't it?

Salmook: he watches Juni fall in panic. he wants to help, but he's not big or strong enough to do anything about it himself. "Juni!"

Alex: He's a bit surprised by Parvus jumping over to his shoulder, but welcomes the gesture. He's startled by the chirping sound Juni makes, and he looks back to see her falling.

Tseth: He notices Juni falling as well, and almost by instinct rushes over to catch her before she hits the ground.

Juni: She squeezes her eyes shut and braces for impact, letting out another chirp as Tseth catches her. She stays frozen for a few seconds before opening her eyes, blinking a few times and clearly unsure of what to do.

Resh: He looks back down at the others, and sees Juni fall and Tseth catching her. He tenses slightly and lands near Tseth and Juni. “Are you okay-“

Juni: She looks up at Resh and nods, still visibly confused at the situation.

Parvus: He looks around at everyone, then looks back at Alex. He jumps up onto Alex’s head and squawks at him.

(Sorry for the tired response a bad storm woke me up at like 5am)

Rhiv: he grumbles, backing away into the the shade. yet another "friend," huh? he's not exactly fond of all these strangers yet. honestly, he doesn't think he ever will be. the sooner he can get Salmook home safe, the better.

Salmook: he notices his pater backing away and follows along. "Pater? Are… you're okay, right?"

Rhiv: he ruffles Salmook's hair. "Yeah… just a headache. Go worry about your 'friend' there."

Tseth: Well, that was easier than I thought. He puts Juni down on her feet. "Need to be more careful when you're doing that." He looks back up at the tree where she fell from. "Would've hurt a lot more if no one was there to catch you."

Alex: He looks a bit annoyed at Parvus jumping on his head. "Oh, what do you want-"

Juni: She looks up at Tseth, then looks down, visibly embarrassed. “Sorry-“
Parvus: He curls up on Alex’s head, dozing off.
Resh: He ruffles Juni’s hair, then chuckles as she swats his hand away. “Okay, okay-“

Salmook: walks back up the the group, leaving his pater in the shade. "Thank the stars you're alright, Juni. And- and you too, Tseth!"
he shudders at the thought of what could've happened. he turns back to Resh. "Did… did you see anything up there?"

Rhiv: he watches Salmook from the shadows. the kid really does care about these strangers, huh. Rhiv ought to keep a better eye on him.

Tseth: "Pft, it's fine. I had to get good at catching people from midair when I was teaching my sister how to fly." He looks back at Rhiv. He was still a bit suspicious of him, but if his intentions were good…

Alex: He huffs a bit at Parvus, but lets him stay where he is.

Resh: He tilts his head, recollecting his thoughts. “I saw a few ground paths, but that’s about it. I suppose we start looking there?”
Juni: She wrinkles her nose and flattens her hair, looking a bit annoyed. “Yeah, I think that’s a good idea-“
Parvus: He looks slightly offended at Alex, jumping off of his head and running back to Tseth.

Rhiv: begrudgingly, he moves forward to join the group. he takes Salmook's hand again, squeezing gently. he stifles a yawn.
"Alright then… Resh. Lead the way."

Salmook: he nods along with his pater. even Salmook has to admit that he's pretty antsy to get out of this forest.

Alex: He watches Parvus run back to Tseth, before joining the group. "Sounds good to me."

Tseth: He nods, waiting for Resh to show the way.

Resh: He raises his eyebrows at Rhiv, then nods at the rest of the group. He turns around and walks away, expecting everyone to follow.
Juni: She follows closely behind Resh, speeding up a bit to keep up.
Parvus: He yawns, flares out his wings, and arches his back, still looking a bit drowsy. He shakes his head and looks up at Tseth with wide eyes.

Rhiv: he shoots a worried glance at Salmook. this isn't the first time he's trusted complete strangers, and it wouldn't be the first time he could get hurt because of it, either. his grip tightens - not enough to hurt, but enough to get Salmook's attention.
"…Come on."

Salmook: he follows after Resh and the others, walking alongside Rhiv.
