Salmook: keeping an eye out - or trying to, at least. all these leaves in the wind are giving him a headache. hold on, was that a..? he grabs Resh's arm and points at… something.
Salmook: keeping an eye out - or trying to, at least. all these leaves in the wind are giving him a headache. hold on, was that a..? he grabs Resh's arm and points at… something.
Alex: He looks at Resh, rolling his eyes. “Yeah, sure you could. And end up tied onto your own tree, most likely.”
Resh: “Come on, it’s not that bad-“
Salmook: keeping an eye out - or trying to, at least. all these leaves in the wind is giving him a headache. hold on, was that a..? he grabs Resh's arm and points at… something.
Resh: He looks down at Salmook, then looks in the direction he’s pointing. “What is it?”
Salmook: squints, but it's not helping. everything is green and blurry and… bright. he notices a flash of movement in the branches, but he can't tell what it is.
"I… I saw something. Tseth, did… did any of them… stay?"
his grip on the knife tightens.
Tseth: He looks over to Salmook. “If you mean the people who put me here, yeah. I can see several of them right now.”
(TSETH WHAT)
(did I say something wrong)
(If it helps. I meant. Since he’s tied up in the campsite further in front of him would be people and that’s why this whole time he’s been trying to be quiet)
(I was waiting for Ame to say something, is all- since she's like the main narrator-)
(Apologies I was forced to go on a boat for 2 hours)
Resh: He growls slightly. “Their heads would be separated from their necks before they could say anything, if you’d just let me kill them all-“
Alex: He sighs, mostly at Resh. “If Tseth can escape before anyone sees him, we won’t have to kill anyone. If he doesn’t, then we start killing.”
Tseth: He’s still cutting at the ropes. A few more have snapped. Just a bit more…
Salmook: worried about the numbers disadvantage they're at and about Resh "Or..? We could free Tseth and leave?"
he winces a little and looks away. something about Resh in general has hit close to home for him, and he'd really like to make Resh happy… he looks at the knife again, very much conflicted.
"I don't know."
(presume alex and salmook spoke at the same time because shhh shut up)
(Help- this child-)
Someone turns around and sees Tseth cutting the ropes.
???: “Hey! The hell do you think you’re doing?”
Parvus: He growls and tenses on Tseth’s shoulder.
Resh: He narrows his eyes, and he looks 1 second away from slaughtering people. He looks at Salmook and his expression softens. “…Sorry.”
Salmook: jolts at the stranger's voice- they've been spotted?! he glances at Resh and… oh, dear. he didn't do something wrong, did he? he gives Resh a "go ahead, I suppose" look, and he tries to move over to Tseth to cut him free faster. no sense in being sneaky now.
Tseth: “Oh, shit-“ He starts cutting the ropes faster. Another one snaps. If he could get the last few-
Alex: He tightens his grip on his knives. “No choice, then.” He darts in front of Tseth, facing the cultists. He brandishes his knives threateningly. “Shouldn’t have taken him.”
Tseth: Oh, fucking hell- this is what they were planning. “We need to get out of here, Alex-“
(Salmook is giving me a heart attack every 5 minutes like cHILD PLEASE)
(Yes child cut the ropes go into danger)
???: He tilts his head. “And I presume you’re Alex?” He looks at Salmook, staring him down. “Little boy, I’d suggest you stop what you’re doing. Now.”
Resh: He quickly moves behind the person, grabbing them and pressing his sword to his throat. The person barely gets a chance to react before Resh slits his throat, then throws him on the ground. “You guys escape. I’ll take care of them.”
Salmook: he looks at Tseth… he seems like he should be able to take it from here, especially with Parvus helping. he winces a little at Resh's violence, but he doesn't dwell on it. he scrambles off into one of his promising hiding spots from earlier- a particularly leafy bush with small red berries on it. he knows better than to eat some mystery-berries, but bush will let him catch his breath for now.
(Now watch Resh very casually run someone through with his sword like child this is nothing 😭)
Tseth: The rest of the ropes snap, freeing him. He takes out his sword—his only one, the other one was knocked from his hand earlier—and takes it to the nearest hostile, running them through. “You’re not doing this alone, Sunshine. I’m helping out. Alex, keep the kid safe.”
Alex: He looks over to where Salmook hid. Good enough for the kid not to be spotted. He takes a few steps closer, prepared to go after anyone who gets closer.
(Oh well I guess he gets to see both Resh and tseth do that)
Resh: He sighs and rolls his eyes at Tseth. “You know, you’re really gonna have to stop calling me that.” He turns and throws a knife at another cultist, hitting them square in the chest.
Parvus: He runs to yet another cultist and and starts biting their ankles, drawing blood surprisingly easily. He climbs up to their shoulder and bites their throat, killing them in an instant.
Salmook: decides to not look at the current chaos. he has enough nightmares as is, thanks. he settles into the bush, and he takes out his stones from before. he starts to play his rock game again, pleasantly ignoring the screams of agony, though still keeping an eye out.
(“pleasantly ignoring the screams of agony,”)
(This is amazing I’m sorry)
Tseth: Well, looks like Parvus actually is pretty deadly. “I don’t think I will, actually.” He moves to another cultist, crushing their neck with his metal arm and looking back at Resh. “It fits too well.” He drops the cultist, and they fall limp on the ground.
Alex: He’s watching for any of the cultists to come near Salmook’s hiding spot. He’ll make sure no one gets close.
Resh: He blocks another cultist’s attack, throwing them down and pinning them to the ground with his foot. “It really doesn’t.” He stabs them with his sword, casually leaning against it and making perfect eye contact with Tseth the entire time. “You know what fits you? Rainbow. Since you’re so colorful.” He grins, gives Tseth a very flourishy bow, then turns and decapitates another cultist that was running towards him.
