“Like I planned. Go to the front and see if I can negotiate peace. See if I can get a formal apology for my father so he stops this foolishness.”
“Like I planned. Go to the front and see if I can negotiate peace. See if I can get a formal apology for my father so he stops this foolishness.”
Ray nods again, "Well we need to get there then. We don't know when they will attack…" He says as he starts to go faster on his horse.
Cass keeps his canter, thoughtful and relaxed, “Yeah. . .” He murmurs and after another long moment, he speeds up.
Ray looks ahead and starts to slow down. "We're here…" He said looking ahead. "Looks like eveything is fine for now…" He said as he entered the village, getting off his horse.
Cass followed him, silent, “I’ll set up my tent.”
Ray nods, as he starts to get everyone assignments of what they need to do. After everything was done, he starts to set up his tent a little ways away from Cass's tent. He then goes and stands watch to make sure they didn't get a surprise attack.
(Sorry for the wait)
Cass sighs, going into his tent, quiet. He sat on his cot, dropping his head into his hands.
(Your good)
Ray looks out into the horison. After a while he sees a group to armed people. Ray runs to Cass's tent. "They are here…" He says looking at Cass.
Cass sighs, looking up. He stands, walking out of the tent. He rubs his face, “Make sure everyone knows to reman calm and peaceful. No signs of aggression.”
Ray nods, and goes to the soldiers and tells them to stay calm, and to tell the village to stay inside. After he's done, he walks up to Cass, making sure he isn't alone. He remains silent as Cass tries to negotiate with them.
Cass sighs, talking to the General of Alekrin, trying to negotiate pace between the two kingdoms.
Ray stands there, making sure that no violence ensues. He remains quiet, not saying anything.
After almost hours, they set an unsteady peace and Cass relaxes slightly, and looks to Ray.
Ray look at Cass "So what is going to happen, Prince?" He asks looking at Cass in the eyes. "Are we finally at peace, with the other Kingdom?" He says relaxing a little bit.
“For now,” Cass murmurs, “But I have a feeling it won’t last long.”
Ray lets out a small sigh, "So what are we going to do to prevent that, Prince? Do we have a plan of action?" He asks looking towards the horizon.
Cass shakes his head, “I. . . I don’t know. . .” He sighs softly, “I have no clue, Ray. . .”
Ray looks at Cass, "Don't worry, we will figure something out when the time comes. Do not fret over it. I will help in any way I can, Prince" He say, looking at Cass in the eyes. "We will put a stop to this war, your father has started…" He says nothing more.
Cass nods, rubbing his forehead, “I know. . .”
Ray smiles for the first time in a while, "Well I guess we should get stuff prepared until the peace treaty is over" He says looking at Cass. "We don't know how long this peace treaty will last…" He say looking at Cass with a worried expression.
Cass nods, “Yes, I know. . .” He rubs his forehead, “We’ll do our best though.”
Ray nods. "So should we leave now, Prince? Or should we wait till tomorrow?" He says looking at the sky, that was now dusk.
“Why would we leave?” Cass looks at him, walking towards his tent.
Ray shrugs saying, "I didn't know if you wanted to go back, Prince…" He said his voice started trailing off. "You get some rest, I'll make sure everything is ok out here." He said walking away to make sure everyone was getting rest.
Cass moved into his tent, going quiet. He sat on the cot, mulling in his thoughts, debating with himself silently.
Ray was getting everyone into there tents. Once everyone was in there tents, he went to a small hill. He laid down looking at the stars, thinking to himself. "What will happen, in the near future…? Will I be able to protect the ones I care for? Will I have the strength to protect them?" He thought to himself looking at the starry night sky.
Cass dropped his head in his hands, shaking it slowly. He was worried that he could not stop what his father had started, and this war would lead to massacre.
Ray gets up, as he starts walking to Cass's tent wanting to check up on him. He arrives before the tent's door and says, "Prince, your still up, is something bothering you?" He says staying outside the tent's door.
Cass looks up, “I am fine, Ray, go get some rest, I’ll stay awake for the watch.” He gets up, walking to the tent flap and opening it.
Ray shakes his head, "No you need to get some rest. You are starting to stress yourself out. I will not let you be stressed, please go get some rest, Prince." He says firmly but calmly not looking away from Cass.
