In the beginning, there were only a few…. and it started with a simple hello.
Danica invited anyone and everyone to her home, but it quickly turned south. She left for only a day and came back to her house empty of guests. Now, the remaining characters (and a few picked up along the way) must navigate their way through an unknown land filled with monstrous creatures and someone they call "The Candle Maker."
Will the heroes survive, or will Danica never see her new-found friends again?

Cole tries to suppress his shivers while wading across the river with everyone else. He keeps getting caught up in his head and with no Andrea to help him snap out of it… Well, he better find a solution sooner rather than later.
His thoughts circle around the naiad's words and her chilling stare. Did they have to physically kill the candlemaker? Stars he hopes not but with the bit about doing it with his own candles…. And why bring the body back to the naiad? What was she going to do with the body? …Did Cole even want to know what she'll do? No. No he doesn't. Getting up on the sandbank and staying with the group is easy. Taming his racing thoughts is not.
