"You seem interested in knowledge. Knowledge that can sometimes only be found by causing pain. I suggest making a contract with my Master. He is the Lord of Knowledge. He can teach you ways to do your experiments, and give you ideas for new ones." Vespera smiles.
Sam stays quiet, "Hm. And what will I have to do to get said help and knowledge?" He turns around. He knew things always came with a catch, he wasn't a fool. But the offer was enticing enough to get him to pay attentions
"You simply give your findings to me, for me to give to my Master. I am obligated by my own contract to report any new knowledge to Him." Vespera replies.
“And who said I wanted to share my findings?” He looks at her, “If I wanted to share them, I would have by now.”

"Maybe you just haven't had anyone that would want to know your findings." Vespera replies quietly.
Sam shrugs, “Maybe. But if you want to know them, why don’t you do it yourself?”
"Because I don't know what experiments you do. If I knew, I'd do them myself, wouldn't I? That's why that argument is inherently flawed. If I want to know, you have to tell me so I can do them - but you don't want to tell me, I can't do them, meaning that either way neither of us get what we want." Vespera counters.
Sam shrugs, “Technically, I can still get what I want. I can still do the things I do.” He hums softly, “And all you have to do is come up with them.”
"Only technically. You stayed to listen to my offer. You're interested. But at the same time you want to go through without giving up some of your own knowledge for the greater good." Vespera sighs.
Sam shrugs, “You’re right.”
"So what is your choice?" Vespera asks.
Sam shrugs again.
"I'll let you think on it." Vespera chuckles. She touches Sam's shoulder, and a black spiral appears there, then blossoms into a black rose. "Just tap that to contact me."
Sam moves away, scowling, “Don’t touch me, please.” He shifts slightly.
Vespera shrugs. "Too late anyways. The mark is already there."
“Well, don’t touch me again.” He rolls his eyes, “At least not without asking.”
Vespera chuckles. "What will happen? You can't do anything to me."
It was said as a simple statement of fact.
“No, I c an’t, but I don’t like being touched. At least you can be respectful.”
(This coming from the guy who doesn’t ask OTHER people-)

"As if you ask?" Vespera asks.

Sam shrugs, “See, what I do, would garner a no. But when I’m nice, and not wanting to be the last thing they see, then I ask.”
Vespera tilts her head. "Why would you care about being the last thing they see or not? They end up dead in the end, don't they?"
Sam huffs, “I am not always killing something or someone that I see. I can be perfectly sane and a nice guy sometimes.”
Vespera nods thoughtfully. "Just like I'm a perfectly normal and living woman."
He raises an eyebrow, “I don’t think magic count’s as perfectly normal.” He crosses his arms.
Vespera snorts. "Exactly. Just like a disocative disorder that causes you to change personalities to a psycopathic scientist isn't normal."
“I never said I was normal. I said I can be a perfectly sane and nice guy sometimes.”
Vespera shrugs. "True enough."
Sam looks at her, silent.
Vespera shrugs. "Well, I have to go. My Master is calling me back to our home. Bye."
With that she just vanishes, without theatrics.
