(i love that for her lol)
Claude smirked. Bingo. Now he was fully in his element again, and it felt good. He sipped some more wine. He would have to tell Neo and Véro about this if they weren't already seeing it for themselves. At least he wasn't involved this time, though the times Claude had been involved in fights were few and far between. He knew his limits, more or less. And this was surely an interesting display.
He glanced over at Floris as he walked up to them, unable to help himself. He was at the point where he ignored the little voice telling him that he should probably stop drinking now or he would regret it in the morning. "I'll take some, thank you. Seems like a lot of drama going on, hm?"
(Meanwhile, Véronique was on a very different sort of hunt. Her long dress swished as she tried to find a nice, quiet corner to read her book in. Unlike Claude, she brought a book with her to every function. One never knew when they might need it. And besides, she was easily bored and often liked to have a bit of peace and quiet before Claude caused some sort of drama (though she would still happily watch or even sometimes participate in said drama anyway). Though they shared many similarities, the two could be like night and day sometimes (which was more or less the theme they had gone with in their outfits for this function). Véronique's dress started out black at the top and gradually turned into more of a purplish-blue hue as it went down, a bit like the night sky and in direct contrast to her brother's ensemble. Her mask was more of a silver color, and her jewelry matched this theme. She had winged black eyeliner and smokey eyeshadow to accentuate the look, complete with matching silver heels that could be seen through the slit on one side of her dress. She would start out the night calmly and then perhaps join in a bit of the fun later. This room had to have a nice corner for her to sit.)
Lucius sat quietly, finishing up his food. He was bored now, Not knowing what to do now that there was no one to talk to. His head was hurting from the constant chatter of all the people. Lucius got up and put his plate to the side. He just wandered around untill he spotted someone all the way in the corner, no one near them. He was debating walking up to them, seeing how his previous talk with Floris had went.
Lucius decided that he would go to the corner but stay far enough from the person standing there, seeing that she was reading something and it would be… rude to say the least, to bother her.
(I gotta head off for the night. Gn!)
At this point, Floris had grabbed his booze and started to walk away, deciding to not deal with the bullshit his sister was starting. He loved her to bits, but she got very overprotective, especially when it came to him. While his sister was talking, he found himself next to Claude and the woman from before. "Anyone want some whiskey?"
Eilwyn thought for a moment, then shrugged. "Why not? I could use a drink." She didn't drink often, but tonight had gotten crazy a lot faster than she'd expected. "Floris, right? That's what your sister said? I'm Eilwyn."
Floris nodded. "That would be me, Fancy title, Floris, an extreme amount of middle names, Astor." He took a swig of whiskey and poured Eilwyn and Claude a glass. He paused for a second before sighing and handing his sister a glass of wine. "Please don't start any more fights, we don't want a repeat of the Ocean incident." He muttered to Diane.
"Listen, It was once and that dolphin deserved it,"
Reyna sighs.
"I was hoping I could finally fight someone who could keep up with me." she snarks.
Diane smirked. "Darling, you'd have to keep up with me," She winked. "I've been told I have quite a lot of stamina."
Reyna smirks back at the implications. "I can give anyone a run for their money. Try me."
"Goddamnit Diane, Mom's gonna be so mad if you cause another political conflict because you want to either fight or sleep with someone," Floris grumbled, taking yet another swig of Whiskey. He didn't get paid enough for this shit.
"I find that quite rude." Diane rolled her eyes.
"And I find mom screaming at us and trying to cut off my horns to be quite annoying."
Reyna snickers at Floris.
"Don't worry, kid, me and your sister here won't be causing any political conflicts. Besides, if she wants to sleep with me she'll have to beat me into submission first." she says.
"I swear to gods, talking to you gives me a fucking aneurysm." Floris bluntly said, taking yet another swig of alcohol. It took a while for him to get tipsy, but by how he was drinking, it wouldn't be that long til he hit that point.
"Oh such a big word." she snarks. "You should be given a golden star."
"You do realize I'm probably the smartest person in this room, correct?" Floris deadpanned, it most likely wasn't incorrect. He didn't pride himself on much, but his ability to think was one of the few.
(I leave for a day and come back to 6! new pages. pout now i have to go read them all)
(LMAO I'M SORRY DEMONS!!!)
(WE WENT A BIT OVERBOARD….)
(love, you're fine. I find everything that has happened quite amusing)
(I'm glad lol; I also may end up putting Rayla in this except just normal dragonborn, not demigod; just as chaotic tho)
(ooooooo that could be fun)
(Diane's a bit OP, but she's mostly there as Floris' protector, bc he may be super smart and pretty strong, but he's also an idiot.)
(Oh yeah- I can help)
"Oh shut up. Just because you're the smartest does not make you wisest by any means." Reyna sighs.
"Now if you'll excuse me, I think Neo is done." she bows, excusing herself.
She walks over to Neo.
(true. . . but the only person Rayla could possibly be working for is the King himself so 😅)
"And she thinks that she is? Gods above." Floris muttered, letting Diane pat him on the shoulder. He looked a bit like a soggy cat, but to be honest, he always did. Now he was just a tipsy soggy cat.
Neo watched the comoting happening over by the drinks table, trying to hide a smile. Finally after some time he stood up, just as some lady wandered over to him. "Can i help you?" he asked trying not to sound annoyed that this woman had just blocked him trying to get to the whiskey
"I'm Reyna Freedform, the Ambassador of the Shapeshifter Unions." she bows. "You're Neo Caddel, correct?
Neo raised an eyebrow. "I am." He watched as she bowed and obviously expected a bow in return, he did not return it. He instead changed his demeanor and smiled flurtashusly. "How my i help you?"
"I'm here to discuss passage terms through your lands on the border." she chuckles, noting the flirtatious smile. She wasn't affected by his siren blood, a side effect of her own nature.
"I see." he in fact did not see. Neo was annoyed at the fact that Reyna was completely unaffected, so he dropped the act. "Why are we discussing this here, now?" He tried to move around her so as to get to his love and some much needed alcohol.
"Because this is the only time I'll be here in the capital with you." she shrugs. "And I am not in the mood to skip down to your lands yet."
