The golden age of space piracy is now. Captain Katrina Violet in particular has attracted quite the… colorful menagerie of pirates and runaways alike. But when your characters, a pack of rowdy misfit children, accidentally become stowaways on their ship, Katrina is forced to face their past as well as possibly the fate of the universe.

Basically, I’m playing Katrina and their crew, and y’all are playing Katrina’s semi-unwillingly adopted children stowaway kids. Oh, and Katrina and the kids save the universe. Did I mention?

Rules are simple. This is for the most part sci-fi, and so no magic. Tech is allowed but don’t be op with what your character can do (aka no Mary Sues). Other species are ok, again no overpowering your characters. No adult content, violence and gore are okay but y’all know what I mean. Swearing is also good but don’t use slurs, and have fun!

Name: Oliver Carmichael
Age: 16
Gender/Pronouns: male, he/him
Orientation: bisexual
Species/Non-human features?: human
Appearance: Oliver is a boy of a bit under average height, standing at 5'6". He has a slight build, to the point where he could be considered scrawny. He's a bit on the ganglier side, with long limbs and a clumsy disposition. He's covered in freckles and oftentimes also grease or soot from whatever stolen parts he's trying to throw together. His skin is a warm olive tone. He has somewhat delicate features, with a heart-shaped face and a button nose, but is actually quite rowdy. He has wide, warm brown eyes that take in everything and anything with enthusiasm. Oliver has fluffy, curly dark brown hair that is starting to grow out and get unruly. He has taken to putting it in a baby half-up ponytail to get it out of his face. He doesn't care to cut his hair at all.
Personality: Oliver is excitable, loud, and a bit reckless. He's easy to please and loves to make new things out of whatever scraps he can find. He's also liable to take things apart to see what they're made of and then attempt to rebuild them (key word here is attempt). He always seems to be hungry and will not let anything exciting happen without him around. He loves to tease people and can be a bit of a friend when he's in a more devious mood, but Oliver is mostly harmless. He's mischievous but doesn't like to hurt others, just annoy the shit out of them. He's clever, and can pick up things quickly, being a fast learner.

Appearance: Amelie has soft, warm brown skin almost the color of melted caramel mixed with chocolate. Their eyes are brown, and she stands at 4'4", a bit shorter than average for her age. Her hair is light brown with blonde faded tips. Her lips are full, and she has a sharp jawline that accentuates her face. Amelie's body type is pretty thin and athletic, though she doesn't know why. She doesn't really do a lot of working out or anything like that. It's just the way they have always been. Personality: Amelie hates to be the center of attention. They're very shy and often feel like the odd person out, especially because of their identity as a demigirl. Most people don't understand it, so she doesn't go into much detail when explaining it if she can tell the other person either doesn't care or won't remember. She usually doesn't remind people consistently enough and is often referenced with she/her pronouns. It doesn't bother her much, but she secretly wishes that people could just take the time to remember. They also have really bad social anxiety, so new people are not it for them. Or people in general. No, thank you.
Skills: They're really good at puzzles or anything that involves tactical or strategic thinking

Appearance: Naomii has long brown hair that reaches the bottom of her shoulder blades in length and is super poofy, like… all the time. She usually keeps it tied back in a ponytail in an attempt to keep it out of her face since it's so wild. She has white skin and sharp brown eyes that don't seem to stop moving. She also wears a lot of makeup and has plump lips. She's the average height for her age (5'6"), but she wishes she were taller and makes up for it with her personality. Her go-to outfit is a tight long-sleeved shirt with leggings and combat boots with her hair in two plaited braids. It makes her feel "like a badass." Naomii Markinger reference image
Personality: Naomii is as blunt and brutally honest as they come. Most people would call her a bitch if she wasn't also super innocent looking. she's absolutely not, but who needs to know that anyway??? But in her defense, she doesn't mean to be rude. She just points things out that she notices without regard to social cues that might suggest it's a bad idea to mention a certain quality about someone. But she consistently bounces wall-to-wall with energy. Pretty sure she's got ADHD, but it's fine. When she starts talking about something that interests her – Naomii also likes to read books on the most random topics – she will not shut up. So don't get her started.
Skills: Research; she'll read any book or look into anything that piques her intrest.

Other: She has no problem with cursing or flipping people off. It surprises most people with her being a female, and that's what she loves about it. Her least favorite thing in the entire world is when someone says "boys will be boys" because her response is always the same: "That's exactly the fucked-up kind of thinking that gave us the patriarchal society we have today where all kinds of people feel unsafe, discriminated against, and marginalized. So keep encouraging toxic masculinity at a young age and see where we end up in a few years when all the 'boys who will be boys' are psycopaths and r*pists."

Personality: Firey, strong willed, but not stupid. Kinda a combination of Juno and Buddy of the Aurinko crime family from the Penumbra Podcast with a touch of the Doctor from Doctor Who. Less self loathing, more deducement skills, and very eccentric. Overall he is a lady with a plan, a plan to change the universe forever… dramatic music plays
Skills: A wicked sharpshooter, and not too bad on a computer either. Loves a mystery, and takes it as a challenge to figure out the deals of everyone they meet. They are something of a jack of all trades, any skill they don’t know they fake knowing until they figure it out. They’re kinda just… badass. However, they do have some glaring weaknesses, mostly due to being a cocky little shit.
Theme song(s)?: Probably they’d have Never Gonna Give You Up as their main choice for the sheer chaos of rickrolling people.
Other: Katrina collects weird shit just for the hell of it. They keep a running tally of how many of her plans have gone awry so that it never happens again. He is a wonderful dancer. And, they grew up the last of a dynasty of exotic space royalty that kicked them out for being too much of a revolutionary. Did I mention they dance?

Name: Sparrow Carmichael

Appearance: Sparrow stands at 4' 9", being around average height for a twelve-year-old. They have a scrawny, slight build. They look very similar to their older brother, with warm, olive skin and a mess of freckles covering their body. They have big, hazel eyes and in general look a bit owlish. They wear circular glasses, which only make their eyes look even bigger. They have an oval-shaped face with a button nose and an almost constantly curious expression. Sparrow has fluffy, curly hair that is just as unruly as their brother's, probably more so, and is just long enough to put in a half-ponytail as well, though they rarely do that, preferring to let their bangs hang into their eyes. They like thinking they have an air of mystery.
Personality: Sparrow is the polar opposite of their brother, being quiet and observant where Oliver is excitable and rambunctious. They are flighty, like a sparrow, and would rather listen than talk. They sometimes go along with their brother's schemes, but usually stay out of it as a neutral party. They can get into arguments with Oliver at times, but it's clear that they really love their brother and look up to him. Sparrow generally won't talk unless they feel that they have something important to say, and hates small talk. When faced with a situation that requires talking, they usually let Oliver do it.
Skills: fast learner, good with technology, knows a bit about machinery as well due to Oliver, fast reader
