Birdie was walking along one of the many stone lined paths along the courtyard, she had just left her group of friends to find her dorm room.

She looked up as she walked, trailing her rolling suitcase decorated in flowers behind her. She looked up at the sky absentmindedly, and did not even notice when she ran into a small girl, a freshman, she assumed.
"Sorry," she said brightly.
She kept walking, trailing her suitcase behind her and watched the clouds move.

Meg sighed as she got out of the cab and looked at the familiar sights. Summer break had not been long enough. Then again she felt that way last year too. She quickly paid the driver and grabbed her three simple mismatched bags before walking through the courtyard. Meg didn't waste any time looking for familiar faces, if someone recognized her then they could talk otherwise she didn't care. She wasn't here to make friends. She just knew that the reputation of a school like this would look good on her resume when she started looking for a job.

It felt like a longer walk than she remembered before she finally arrived at the dormitories and found her dorm number. Hopefully, her roommate was the kind of person who would respect her privacy and wasn't overly chatty.

(So as far as roommates, do any of you have a preference? I mean, I could pick, but if you think a specific combination of your character and someone else's would be interesting, that's cool as long as the other person is okay with it. I think I might reach out to one more person and see if they're interested so that we can have three pairs of roommates)
(I was thinking it could be in the same time period as the movie, but a bit more modern? I'm thinking 1972 :))

@menace-to-society

(okay perf thanks! and you can pick for mine, and i think it would be interesting if gayle is paired with someone a bit more confident/extroverted than her :))

Juniper was excited. This new school, was so much more fancy than anything she had ever had. She already knew that she was going to get some interesting looks when she hopped out of her dad's truck. However, she saw it as an opportunity for advertising, because she just knew that some of theses girl's families had to have horses. Her father could use the business. As the truck came to a stop, she hopped out of the truck, slammed the door, and hopped up into the back of the truck and threw her luggage out of the back. Her mother snapped harshly at her.
"Aye! Be careful! That's new luggage. We bought that for your time here. You only get one set. Anyways, I want you to be careful here. And I need you to follow the rules. as best as you can."
Her father laughed.
"Oh hush. Let her have her moment. She's excited can't you tell? Come here kiddo."
Juniper hopped out of the back of the truck and walked over to her dad, who ruffled her hair.
"Thanks dad. And I know mom. I'll be careful. I make no promises about the rules though. Rules are made to be broken, and I will break them. Come here. Let me give you guys a hug before I go find out where I'm living."
After giving her parents a hug, she tried her best to look confident as she walked to the juniors girl's dorms. Everything was so new. She walked through the hustle and bustle of girls milling around and found her way to her room. She walked inside and pulled her luggage behind her. She stood in the middle of the room, and put her hands on her hips and sighed.
"Wow. This room is so much bigger than mine at home. Alrighty. New school, new people, new friends. I can do this."

Gayle was able to get her things to her dorm with only a little struggling, thankfully able to avoid any contact with strangers. She didn't really want to have to meet anyone new when she was already anxious about school starting. Hopefully her roommate would be someone that she already knew this year, which would make things easier seeing as she wouldn't have to get comfortable with a whole new person. She hoped she could get comfortable with the new person, or this school year would mean spending a lot of time outside the room. She swallowed and walked down the hall toward her room, glancing around at the other girls unpacking or just walking through the halls.

Some of the girls had their parents with them, and it made Gayle ache in a way that she couldn't quite describe. She wished that her parents had cared enough to drop her off themselves, or help her with her luggage, but they were busy. They were always busy, or so caught up in thought that they might as well be. Gayle had practically raised her younger siblings, since it felt like she spent more time with them than either of their parents. She wondered that when her sister attended this school, she would be the one dropping her off. Maybe by then Gayle would work up the courage to be able to drive a car in the first place, since the idea admittedly frightened her. A lot of things frightened her. At least her only sister was a small six-year-old right now, the youngest out of her siblings.

At any rate, she was nearing her room for the year, suitcase in tow. It was big and heavy, and Gayle was ready to be done dragging it behind her. As she entered the space she would be spending most of her time for the school year, she was met with a new face. The girl was short and stout, built like an athlete. She was pretty, with glasses and curly hair. She looked energetic, if that was possible and, somehow, also…loud. Gayle wasn't sure how to feel about it.

Of course she was getting stuck with a new girl. But who knew, maybe this girl would turn out to be quite nice and easy for her to get along with? Gayle swallowed the bout of nerves that surfaced at the unfamiliar face, stopping her suitcase behind her. Since the girl was standing in the middle of the room, Gayle was unsure which side to choose. She glanced between the left and right side, uncertain. She might as well just ask this girl what side she'd prefer and go from there. The nerves spiked, causing Gayle hover in the doorway without entering. She cleared her throat, hating starting conversations, especially with strangers.

"Um, hi," she muttered, glancing at the girl only to quickly look back at the ground. "I think…I'm supposed to be your roommate?" She spoke haltingly, hesitating as if she were wrong when she was certain she was right. Well, mostly certain. Seeing someone unfamiliar unbalanced her.

(Sorry, I haven't had time to finish my character, I'll try to in a few minutes. If you want me to, I can leave.)

Name: Olive Madison

Age: 16

Gender: Female

Year: Junior

Appearance: https://www.artbreeder.com/beta/image/39c78756cdc5e2e30b076c40474a

Clothing Style: She wears modest and minimalistic clothing. Usally wears a hoodie and jeans.

Personality: Olive is very studious and open minded in class; however, she is very reserved and quiet any other time. She doesn't talk much, but when she does talk, she is very sweet, formal and polite. She hardly considers herself a "goody two-shoes", but she does try to follow the rules at the fullest.

Expected Occupation: Pediatrician (Doctor for kids :))

Hobbies: Art, writing, reading, piano (sorta?)

Theme Song: Chopin – Waltz in B minor (Idk if that's her theme song, but this is her favorite waltz)

Quotes: {I'll have to find one ;'(}

Other: She prefers to be referred to by her last name. She is almost always listening to classical music.

(Sorry, this looks so lazily written.)

(So Avry isn’t able to continue the rp. I’m debating between sticking Lisette in a room with another pairing to make it three people or making a student character for myself 😅😂)

@Dayzed forum

(ah, that's too bad, i don't mind Lisette being put in a room with someone else, i'll just have to change my reply a little if that's the case)

@ElderGod-Winter-The-Renegade-Legionnaire book

Juniper turned around when she heard a voice. The girl who had come into the room was lithe and delicate looking, and she looked a little bit startled. Juniper smiled and waved.
"Hi! I would hope you're my roommate, because I don't think I could feel quite at home in a space this big by myself. I'm used to having a sibling or at least an animal in the room with me. This is much nicer than what I'm used too. Oh! Where are my manners!"
Juniper stuck her hand out.
"I'm Juniper. Choose whatever side you like. I'm not picky. Do you need help with anything? I've already brought my things in. I didn't have much. Also, this may sound like a weird question, but have you gone here before? This is all new to me, and I'm going to need help navigating around this place. Technically I'm not supposed to be here, but by some wild chance, I'm here on scholarship until I graduate. Are you on scholarship too?"

Birdie eventually made her way into the right dorm room, which was empty, she sat her stuff on the right, hoping her roommate wouldn't have a problem with it and began unpacking the clothes from her suitcase and putting them in the dresser on her side of the room, she then worked on putting her pairs of shoes, only three, a pair of retro colored high top vans, black converse and a pair of sandals under her bed, where they'd be out of the way. She wanted to get everything settles for herself before she left to walk around campus.

Meg mumbled the numbers under her breath as she counted the doors until she found the one she had been assigned to. She sighed softly in relief as she opened the door and walked in. “Oh, hello.” she said politely as she noticed her roommate before moving to set her things on the left side of the room.

Name: Emaria Dowling
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Year: Junior
Appearance: Emaria's eyes are dark brown, like her mother's. Her hair is a shade of dirty blonde, again more like her mother, and it falls around her shoulder blades in length when it's let down. She typically wears it either half-up-half-down or down completely. She's athletic and played on the field hockey team at Brookestone. She stands 5'3" in height and weighs 113 lbs. She wears minimal makeup for daily wear to emphasize her eyes and lips. She has a tattoo of a dove on her right hip, and neither of her parents knows about it. Her ears are pierced, and she speaks with a British accent, like both of her parents. Portrayed by Ellen Muth (younger)
Clothing Style: Outside of Brookestone Academy's mandated uniform, Emaria prefers darker colors, taking after both of her parents in this aspect. She likes to wear hoodies over tank tops, and jean shorts over leggings. Emaria 70s outfit reference
Personality: Emaria was a well-behaved child before she turned into a rebellious teenager. She likes to defy her mother in any little way she can, though it makes her jealous and irritated that her mom has such strong control over her emotions and isn't easily affected by her daughter's antics. She's an ISFP-A, Slytherin, and Pisces (Aquarius cusp)
Strengths: Creativity, quick thinking, witty, genuinely smart (when she wants to appear that way)
Weaknesses/Flaws: Stubbornness, rushing into things without thinking, reckless curiosity, and rebelliousness (especially against her mother)
Family History/Background: Both of Emaria's parents are teachers in their own right. This caused Emaria to want to be the furthest thing from a teacher. She doesn't like school, and she consistantly causes problems for her teachers. Her parents finally sent her to Brookestone, hoping she would learn better from the teachers there.
Expected Occupation: Her parents don't really have something the "expect" her to be. But according to Emaria, anything but a teacher will do.
Hobbies: Partying (though her parents are very unaware of this)
Theme Song: Prodigal Daughter - Lights
Quotes: "Why are you hesitating? No one has to know." "I did tell you to go away, didn't I? Okay, yeah, I did. Just checking." "I've swear heard this same lesson a hundred times by now. You could at least change it up a bit."
Other:I have her page linked. Most of the stuff on it is here in the template. Overall, it's currently being worked on, so please humor the spottiness of information, and just ignored the sections that mention her magic.
