@ElderGod-Icefire

The Snake squinted at him for a moment when Will complained, then shrugged it off. He was done, and set the food aside. "Are you done?" he asked, picking up the platter and taking ir over to the door, handing it to a servant to be taken away, then came back to the bed, settling on the edge of it and watching Will for a long, quiet moment.

@larcenistarsonist group

"Yes," Will answers, ripping one last piece of bread from a roll. "Thank you," he says quietly as Kazimir takes the remaining plates away. A moment of silence washes over them and Will locks eyes with the Snake. "What are you looking at?" He asks, momentarily wondering if he has some crumbs on his chin or something in his teeth.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Kaz blinked at him, shrugging a shoulder. "You." he replied calmly, giving Will a lazy smile as he moved to lay down on the bed, stretching out on the big, plush mattress. He made no move to grab WIll or pull him in, but there was plenty of space if Will chose to lay down with him.

@larcenistarsonist group

Sighing, Will lays down on his back, his head against the soft silk pillows and his eyes staring holes into the ornate ceiling. He makes no movement closer to the Snake, nor farther away. "Oh," he only says in return. An odd chill striking him, Will quickly flips under the covers and pulls them to his nose.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Kaz watched him, shifting a little bit closer but still not pulling at Will. If his Martyr wanted to snuggle up close with him, then Will was free to do so of his own accord. Kaz had no desire to force that on him, not like this. They were both so new to each other still, in this lifetime, it wouldn't be right.

@larcenistarsonist group

Will turns on his side to face the Snake. "Could you turn down the lights?" He asks softly, already feeling the pull of sleep. Part of him wants to fit himself right against Kazimir's side like a puzzle piece. The other part also wants to but is much less vocal about it.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Kaz nodded, reaching out to put out the lights, then settling down on the bed again. "That better?" he asked softly. There was still some light coming through the windows, the last rays of the setting sun, but other than that, there wasn't any light invading the space. Just a quiet dusk.

@larcenistarsonist group

"Yes," he hums, turning away from the window. "Thank you." The words fall sleepily from his lips, a day of nothing taking quite the toll on him. Odd how he only learned to sleep when he was sharing a bed. "I think," he begins, slowly blinking his eyes trying to keep them open. "I will see you in the morning."

@ElderGod-Icefire

"You're welcome." he replied softly. "And, yes. I will see you in the morning." he gave Will a soft smile, pulling the blankets higher over the both of them, cocooning them both in warmth. He wanted to take Will into his arms, but didn't. Eventually, they would both be comfortable enough with each other to do that, but not yet. Not now.

@larcenistarsonist group

And before he knows it, Will is fast asleep. In the enormous bed, he shifts closer to the Snake, rolling over so his nose is just barely brushing Kazimir's shoulder. In his sleep, he sighs.

@ElderGod-Icefire

(timeskip?)

Kaz was already half-asleep by the time Will came closer, and he just gathered the Martyr into his arms with a soft, sleepy exhale, relaxing a little bit as he held the sleeping young man close. This was all he truly wanted from life. To hold Will, for as long as Will would let him.

@larcenistarsonist group

(akdjks sounds good)

Will's oddly peaceful slumber is broken by something tickling his nose. At first, he swats at it, but then he begins to stir. When he cracks his eye open, he's met with a very confused face. "Eloise?" He grumbles. "What are you doing in the bedroom…?" He rubs his eyes and sits up.

"I'm uh– not in the bedroom?" Will sits up. Eloise is in a simple silver tea dress with her light hair in numerous braids. "I thought you were dead or something."

"I'm… not dead?" He trails off. "And I'm in the library…?"

@ElderGod-Icefire

Kaz awoke alone, Will's spot in the bed empty and cold. The doors were closed, and there was no sign of the Martyr. He frowned, getting up from the bed and moving over to the bathroom. Will wasn't in there. Nor was he in the closet. Nor anywhere in Kaz's quarters. Kaz's pace began to speed up a little as he realized Will was not in his chambers. He quickly put on some clothes, since he couldn't be seen wandering the castle in his pajamas, and then left the room. He asked the guards if they had seen his concubine. Both replied no. He cursed and started walking. Where would WIll have gone?

@larcenistarsonist group

"How long have you been here?" Eloise hisses, her voice low and matching the apparent early hour. "And you're still in pajamas?"

Will looks down. He'll be damned. "Did I sleepwalk?" He inquires, entirely baffled by the situation at hand. Eloise shrugs, clearly as helpless as he is.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Why would Will have left without telling him? What oculd the Martyr be up to? He frowned, hoping that Will hadn't decided to try and find a way home. Even if he managed to get a portal open– which he couldn't, not without the help of a Fae –going through it now could tear his mind apart. Human bodies were not made for frequent travel through those portals. Even Fae got strained after using them too much.

@larcenistarsonist group

Eloise huffs, extending a hand to help Will off the floor. (Why was I on the floor?) "You don't know how you got here?" Eloise confirms, her thjn eyebrows furrowed over her dark blue eyes.

"No?" Will responds, dusting off the back of his pants. "Nevermind me, what are you doing here so early?"

Eloise looks almost bashful. "The sunrise is best from the windows here. I come here as many mornings as I can, but I certainly wasn't expecting you to be laying on the floor at this dreadful hour."

@ElderGod-Icefire

Kaz paused for a moment, then went out to the garden. Perhaps Will had gone out there to watch the sunrise? That seemed like something that he would do, though it was strange that he hadn't woken Kaz. Kaz was not that heavy of a sleeper, the sound of the door opening and closing, at the very least, should have woken him up.

@larcenistarsonist group

"Huh." Will paces towards the vast window. The section of the library is not one he recognizes. It peers into a familiar part of the garden, one with a perfect east view of the horizon. The architecture must have been purposeful, for the trees and orange hued flowers perfectly line a bronze path. "This is quite the view–" He mumbles. Eloise scuttles to stand next to him.

@ElderGod-Icefire

(god? is that you?)

Kaz opened the glass doors and stepped out into the gardens, walking quickly along the paths as he looked around for Will. Where would the Martyr have gone to? Why would he have left? This was…rather confusing, but hopefully he would find Will soon enough.

@larcenistarsonist group

As he watches the first rays peek above the tree line, Will catches sight of a white head of hair wandering the garden. "Kazimir?" He mumbles. He looks… lost? Knocking loudly on the window, Will hopes to catch the Snake's attention.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Kaz's head twitched at the knock, and he turned to squint at the palace. His eyes widened faintly when he saw Will, and approached the windows. "What are you doing in there?" he mouthed, looking around for a doorway to go back into the palace.

@larcenistarsonist group

Fully understanding, Will shrugs, mouthing in return "I don't know." He had fallen asleep in Kazimir's arms and woken up on the hard wooden floor of the library. Hell, he isn't quite sure the path to the library from the room. He must have sleepwalked… but even that seems unlikely. Will had never had an affinity for sleepwalking in the past.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He frowned, moving away from the window. He vanished from sight for a few minutes, before his footsteps approached from around the corner, and he came over to Will, now inside the library. "How did you get in here?" he asked, completely ignoring Eloise's presence, his entire focus on Will.

@larcenistarsonist group

"I don't know?" Will answers, brows knitting over his eyes. "I fell asleep and I woke up here!" Eloise silently excuses herself to find some frilly romance novel. "Trust me, I don't don't know how to find the library with my eyes open." Was this magic?

@ElderGod-Icefire

He reached out to touch Will's arms gently, holding onto him and studying him. "You're still in your pajamas." he remarked, cocking his head very faintly. "I am not a heavy sleeper, you would have woken me if you had opened the doors. And the guards said they had not seen you."

@larcenistarsonist group

"I don't remember waking up nor leaving the room, that's the thing,"Will admits, tone verging on hasty. "And if you didn't hear the door open and the guards didn't see me leave, then how did I get here?"

@ElderGod-Icefire

Kaz was still frowning, brows knotted together as he tried to decipher what had happened. "I…don't know." he replied. "Which is troubling." it was troubling that neither of them knew how this had happened. Troubling that neither knew just how Will had gotten here, or even when.

@larcenistarsonist group

"Well.." Will trails off, staring somewhere at the bottom shelf across the library. "I'm fine, I guess. No glaring injuries, I don't have a headache–I'm just… confused?" With a furrowed brow, Will leans into Kazimir, pressing his forehead against the Snake's chest.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Kaz went still for a moment as Will leaned into him, then reached out to wrap his arms around his lover, holding him close with a soft, quiet exhale. "I don't know either, love." he said softly, kissing the top of WIll's head and holding him close. "It's…confusing." he would have to find a way to get to the bottom of this, and soon.

@larcenistarsonist group

Will sighs and hums quietly at the contact. "Well," he starts, voice quiet. "Could we go back to the room so I could change?" He momentarily wonders the status on the tailor's work. Kaz's clothes aren't necessarily an issue, but the man is clearly larger than him and there's only so many decent options Will can choose from. "And then breakfast?"
