(Lmao!)
Jonathan noticed Christina’s look, but by the time he glanced at her, she had already looked away. He wanted to apologize for all the wrong done to her, but he doubted it would even be nudging the surface of her pain.
Phalakros smiled shyly at her, but there was a definite difference in his look. He seemed somehow bolder, and more confident, than previously.
“‘Tis the portal of a dear ally of mine named Elix-Shire. Considering, I could possibly find it, yet I have never been here before and do not wish to get lost. Thus, any help is appreciated,”Phalakros replied to both of them.
Jonathan nodded distractedly at Phalakros, not noticing Christina’s gaze this time. It still nagged at him that it was Ahkrethians, Ahkrethians, that had done so much harm to Christina. That he had once considered his own race to be the pinnacle of honor… How much Ahkrethian history was Lucitius hiding? Why was he hiding it? Was he and every other Ahkrethian just living a lie?
Jonathan came out of his thoughts when Phalakros stood. The youth motioned for the pair to lead the way, and Jonathan shakily headed off in the direction of the Gate. As he walked, his posture straightened and his gait stiffened, his breathing becoming eerily calm, though he continued in the direction of the Gate without issue.
