The princess (because idk her name lol) was riding down a dirt path in the woods her father would have her head for this running off and leaving her poor guard in the center of town calling her name but she was long gone and looking for adventure or at least something new she was tired of the same thing every day staying in the castle getting lectured by her father or sitting in the market bored out of her mind well today that would all change for she would find something, or someone that would change the way she saw the world

Dove reached into the chicken coop. Her fingers curled around something, and when she pulled into the light, a brown egg was cradled in her palm. Dove checked it briefly for any cracks or abrasions, then put it in the basket resting on her hip.
The hens were all wandering around outside, the rooster sitting among them with his eyes closed. They were all enclosed by a small fence by the side of the large manor that Dove called home. Woodland spread out beyond the manor, deep and thick. Only the dirt path brought a sense of order and direction. Only the path was a reminder that there was more beyond this simple life, a world beyond these consuming woods.
Dove wished she could see that world, just once, for herself. Not to go out to the market for her step-brothers, not to visit the neighboring family for her step-mother, no. To see the world, just for the sake of seeing it. For how wonderful it must be. It would surely be better than here.
Dove blinked. Her mind had wandered off again, and she must be quick. She reached into the chicken coop, hurrying to gather the rest of the eggs before someone came out and yelled at her.

Alice was still making her way down the path when she saw the top urging her horse to move a little faster now that the building sparked her interest it took her only a few moments before she pulled lightly on the rains do her horse would stop she was looking over a huge house with a large yard and a girl crouched down one the ground caught her eye she moved a little closer maybe a little to close they might see her

Her shoulders were already hunched, her ears bracing themselves for the sound of footsteps and a grating voice. Witch, they called her. Probably for her white hair and ghostly eyes, but also her dirtied skin, which would redden if she spent too long in the sun, get soot smeared on it when she slept in front of the hearth, or be bruised any time her step-brothers felt like using her as their plaything. Even now, her cheeks and arms were beginning to burn, and there was a bruise on her leg, hidden by her skirts.
Finally, Dove had all the eggs. She stood up, and made her way to the back door. But then something made her stop. A flash out of the corner of her eye, the sound of horse’s hooves. Was someone there? Dove turned and looked again to see.

When the girl turned around Alice's heart nearly stopped beating and courage that appeared out of nowhere forced her to continue on the path going up to the fence that in closed the property hoping to at least talk to the girl she was looking at

Her stomach flipped. A girl upon a mighty stallion, a crown upon her head, the royal crest on the stallion’s gear. It could surely be no one else. And she was coming this way.
Dove hefted the basket in her arm and stepped over the small chicken’s fence, then went up to the gate that allowed entrance to the manor.
“Your Highness?” It was really her. The princess herself. “What brings you here? Where is your company of knights, or your guard?”

She made her way to the girl with slight smile when she could see her face clearly and laughed a little taking her crown off and sipping it into her satchel "shh let's keep the princess thing a secret between us. " and at the mention of her guard she turned around glancing at the dirt path that she had just been on Insuring he hadn't followed her "let's just say he's looking for me. ' she had a mischievous smile on her face after saying that but still looking at the girl fondly she would be lying if she didn't find her cute

Dove’s heart pounded. Her mouth gaped as she watched her casually put the crown away. Was her stepmother expecting the princess today? Oh, her smile and her laugh, Dove couldn’t help but be drawn to them.
“Then surely you must return to him, unless you have business here,” she said uncertainly. “This is the house of Montgomery, by the way. The Lady Montgomery is inside…”
She really hoped that the princess did not think she was a witch. She wasn’t wearing a veil or a cap like she usually did when in public, so her white hair was in full view.

Gradually, her heart slowed. She blinked, tilting her head in confusion. “Ah, I see. But then, why have you come here? By all means, go keep exploring. There is only a duchess’s manor here, Your Highness.”

Dove shyly twirled a lock of hair around her finger, and looked at her feet. “Ah yes… I am merely a servant, though. My name is… is—“
“Witch!”
She flinched as the shout cut through the grounds. It was her stepbrother, Michael, storming out of the front door. Andrew, his twin, was following close behind. Their mouths were curled into triumphant smirks, as they usually were when they caught Dove doing something wrong. However, they soon caught sight of Princess Alice, and quickly realized who she was, even without the crown.
Andrew shoved his stepsister aside. “Go on, little witch, take those eggs inside already, or Mother will have your hide.” Reluctantly, Dove began walking up to the house, though looking over shoulder and rather worried for the princess.
Michael looked the princess up and down, eyes wide and ogling. “And who are we to have such a royal lady as you to come to visit us?”

Alice arched her brow at the name they called her and when they showed her some part of the princess was angered "not so fast she was just getting ready to introduce herself. " she said sharply as she stared at the two so called men she wasn't impressed by any means "and I suggest you'd like to keep your vision intact you'll stop staring at me like I'm some object before I carve your eyes out of your skull. " sure it was harsh.. More than harsh but she simply didn't care she'd had he fair share of men like this eyeing her as if they could get in between her legs by being assholes

Andrew’s eyes flickered to her. “Oh, pay no attention to her, Your Highness. That brat is no one worth your time.”
Michael snickered. “The princess is a fiery one, isn’t she? I can admire that in a woman.”
“Didn’t you hear her?” Andrew flicked his brother’s forehead. “She obviously doesn’t want you looking at her. Your Highness, why don’t you stay for dinner? It’s nothing like the palace, but we have very fine meals.”
Meanwhile, Dove was frozen, stuck between her worry for the princess and being admonished and yelled at by her stepmother. Please, Your Highness, just leave now…
