AHH I LOVE THEMMM also Endra is like, goals.
So Knight is the only one who needs to get their character(s) up, and then we can probably start!
also Eris will probably take in Reed and be like "omg he's adorable dad can we keep him??? Pleaseeeeeee?" and cue bffs moments.
AHHH THANK YOU I LOVE THEM TOO yes yes I would love Eris and Reed bff moments
And then Luci would just be like. Torn because on the one hand he wants to see his daughter happy on the other they don't want a filthy human in their monster haven and like. Dammit this isn't easy when they're both giving him puppy eyes!
Reed just lowkey seeing Eris as another sister sob
Oof lmao. Yeah sounds about right. And Eris being so lonely it simply goes along with the whole thing.
So Knight is the only one who needs to get their character(s) up, and then we can probably start!
I'm currently working on my character right now, so they should be done soon!
Awesome!!
Name: Dr. Konrád Jehlička/Jarek Zima
Age: 35
Gender/Pronouns: Cis male (He/Him/His)
Orientation: Bisexual (although both Konrád and Jarek don't necessarily have a preference. Jarek, on the other hand, is a bisexual disaster.)
Appearance: Konrád may look normal, but don't let that soft handsome face of his fool you. Despite rather being inside and reading, he has lean, fit build. He has short very neat black hair; if it does get messy, he gets annoyed. Konrád wears circular rimmed glasses because his silver eyes aren't good as they used to be. He stands at six foot three, and his posture is bad from constantly having to crane his neck. And of course, he wears fancy business attire.
And all those things I said for Konrád, just keep the height, facial features, and all that because Jarek is something else. Jarek has a natural resting sinister face. His eyes are black, but he can make them light up red cause that's always fun! Of course his crimson hair is just like Konrád's, but he hates it being neat. He also hates how neat the clothes he transitions in, so he loses the jacket, vest, and tie. Someday he will find what he wants to wear, but he might steal something from somebody in order for that to happen.
Personality: The doctor is a gentleman who highly values the opinions of others. He is a quiet individual who would rather be in the laboratory or reading, but he does enjoy being in the presence of others from time to time. While he helps others and does everything in his power to be a good person, his heart is shrouded in darkness. He pushes down and does everything he can to ignore his possibly true nature.
Jarek is a man (a monster actually), but he is not gentle. He is the textbook example for why there are danger labels for everything. And no it's not because he hurt himself, it's because he hurt others out of evil….and spite. Really he is just persistent in his motives of creating disaster and raising hell, but here's the thing, he is a bit misguided on what that means. So while he will make someone die from fear or attack somebody at random, he also thinks that doing certain acts (that are often nice/lovable gestures) are also evil. A little bit of a himbo, he is curious about a lot of things, yet he is concrete on not being curious and wanting to learn certain things. Maybe he is 15% a decent being? Jarek would never admit it.
Species of Monster?: It's a little hard to explain but long story short, his own evils(or the other internal half of his personality) has taken its own form through his body as Jarek. Jarek is like a Spring-heeled Jack in a sense that he is demon-like, frightens men, women, and children alike, jumps off of walls, destroys things, and may have "accidentally" killed a few people.
Powers?: Obviously the main "power" that he has is turning into Jarek, but he cannot control it. Jarek usually takes over his mind and body whenever he wants and can stay for days, maybe even weeks, on end. He has supernatural agility and can even manipulate his face to become sinister. Aging is dramatically slowed down for the two of them. Konrád likes to joke that Jarek has the power to easily get out of imprisonment and get into trouble.
Backstory?: Everyone has heard of the story of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, it's practically the same thing as Konrád and Jarek's. Konrád was just like any ordinary scientist, wanting to make a discovery that would be beneficial for the world and humanity. After years of studying, college, and work, he was able to get his doctorate and became a partner for a human related sciences institution. His other partner, Dr. Sokol, had been working on a project for a serum that would help those troubled by traumas and fears. Sokol had been working on this serum for years.
Well little did anyone know, Konrád perfected it after a few years and it worked, but that's as good as it got. Dr. Sokol stole credit from Konrád and got a lot of prestige from it. The robbery of his work had led Konrád to working against his partner. Before he could expose Sokol, the two had gotten into a fight and Konrád was forced to drink one of the failed serums because Sokol thought that would make Konrád unable to expose him.
Let's just say it made Konrád able to turn into another person, Jarek, who is just the other (more evil) half of him. It took awhile for Konrád to figure out what happened, but it only took Sokol's death and a few other little disasters to figure it out. Sadly no one understands his situation nor does anyone believe him. Oh well, for Jarek, it's party time!
Weakness: The consequences of Jarek's actions, mental/energy drainage from transitions from Konrád and Jarek and vice versa, Konrád's inner turmoil.
Theme song(s)?: Konrád: New Person, Same Old Mistakes by Tame Impala, A Man Without Love by Engelbert Humperdinck, and Strangers by The Rose/Jarek: Burning Down the House by Talking Heads, Sympathy for the Devil by The Rolling Stones, and Take Me Out by Franz Ferdinand
Other: Konrád tries to Jarek-proof things so then things will be somewhat okay when he transitions back to himself. He also has a mini journal for messages to Jarek which Jarek won't read because he refuses to read cursive. It's fine because half of these messages are just insulting Jarek.
Name: Kamilla Virág
Age: Somewhere around 429
Gender/Pronouns: Cis female (She/Her/Hers)
Orientation: Omnisexual
Appearance: As she is a vampire, her skin is deathly pale. Her features are sculptured thanks to her immortality, but she wishes it wasn't so sharp. Kamilla has long wavy ebony hair that she typically prefers to keep down. When she puts it up, Kamilla tries to incorporate flowers. Her hooded eyes are light red. And she usually wears a long black dress with long sleeves. Kamilla likes to paint her sharp long nails red, and she like to paint nails.
Personality: Just like the flower, Kamilla is a naturally sweet and gentle person; it makes her rather violent gorey nature difficult to contemplate. She does not mind being a spector in things nor does she not mind others coming up and ranting to her. In fact, it kind of makes her happy knowing that people trust her. On the other hand, she doesn't understand that she is her own person since she was used to being ordered around. Of course she will throw hands when needed. Kamilla is also easily impressed by things and exudes supportive mom energy who makes you cookies. (She probably would if you ask.)
Species of Monster?: Vampire (more so like from Dracula)
Powers?: Just the typical vampire stuff, especially climbing walls, walking upside down, and so on. She doesn't know how to turn into a bat or anything, but she'll figure it out! Kamilla can be in sunlight, although it weakens her abilities.
Backstory?: Kamilla was born to a peasant family in the Kingdom of Hungary. The family lived close to Countess Elizabeth Bathory's castle so they sent Kamilla to work there since all girls sent there were promised to leave after five years of service. From the start, Kamilla knew that something was going on. After finding blood stains she was forced to clean up and strange bites in girls' necks, she discovered that the countess is a sinister monster.
Thankfully the countess was stopped and placed under house arrest for her crimes, but Kamilla was ordered to serve the countess for extra pay. One night the countess dismisses the other servants and bit Kamilla. Although she thought she'd die, she found herself to be completely fine. Thankfully the countess died, although Kamilla has her suspicions about the death. Things had become blurry as she had to learn things on her own. She still has to up to this day because she knew she could never go home.
Weakness: Garlic, religious symbols, silver, being in sunlight for an extensive amount of time, her coffin (which contains dirt from her homeland) destroyed, not being to feed on blood for a long time
Theme song(s)?: Something About You by Eyedress, Bad Dracula by Red Velvet, and Fear for Nobody by Måneskin
Other: Kamilla enjoys dancing, she always imagines herself as a princess wearing a pretty red dress whenever she does.
(Here they are! I tried doing my own twist with Dr Jekyll and Hyde, and I wanted to make a vampire because I couldn't help myself. I hope they're all good)
Omggg I love them so much! I think Endra and Jarek would get along
(omg Luci will hate these people (complimentary). He really just likes peace, quiet, and also safety for his child so uhh yeah fun times.)
(Shall we begin?)
(I’m down with that)
(Okay, I'll post a starter!)
(Woohoo! Let's go!)
The Isle of Lost Paradise. A place where monsters in need could stay, be healthy and whole, and be taken care of. It was cut off from the rest of the world, being surrounded by trees so thick they blotted out the sun, on the edge of a small town that had its superstitions and held them to their chests like pearls or knives. And in the center of the Isle, was a tower…
Eris was bored. It hadn't been able to go out for days due to the heavy rain, but she yearned to do something to cure her boredom. So, she came up with a plan. It silently snuck away from its room, and went to her private clubhouse, aka a backdoor into the attic where she played at and stayed at the house she and its father lived in. The Isle was structured like a village or commune, self sustaining in its own right and cut off from the whole world. The only way in was to be invited, the trees had ears and eyes in a way and could eat you when you weren't looking.
She went to look out the window, scanning for any troublemaking it could afford to use to relieve its boredom. Boris and his husband, Gerry, were gardening with their pups, the werewolf family took care of the gardens and made sure they grew. No, nothing there except werewolves attempting to prevent flooding. So she looked on, further, until its eyes met the tower.
Eris had never been allowed to go up there, nobody had except her Dad. Lucifer took pride in the fact that despite everything, nobody wanted to go up. Everyone was too scared to, it radiated a supernatural aura of fear even Eris couldn't deny. Maybe, it was supposed to. She suddenly lost the troublemaking mood and went downstairs to get something to eat.
(I don't mean to be a nuisance, but do you have room for 1 more? Sorry if I'm being annoying.)
(Yeah why not! But get your character(s) up soon please!)

(Here's the starter so it doesn't get lost)
Konrád strolled around with a gray umbrella throughout the Isle of Lost Paradise. He didn't mind that his shoes were getting muddy; in fact, he knows that if he forgets to clean them later, Jarek will be agitated by this. Lightly laughing at the thought, he shook his head then kept on.
It's been at least two days since the last transition. Whether or not it has to do anything with the bad weather, he doesn't know. On the other hand, it's nice to be himself for once. Yes he has spent those two days mostly inside, but at least nothing was broken and now he gets to walk around for a bit. Hopefully the transition will not trigger anytime soon.
But he doesn't want to jinx it. The more he thinks about it, the more he thinks it will happen again. Thankfully on the Isle, he doesn't have to fear being chased out of his town, abandoned by family and friends, and all the sorts. Sure he may be "normal" now, but his apperance as Konrád, himself, is the only thing about him that's normal. Curse that word, curse everything about it. It's as bad as Jarek.
Inside a small cottage is a dark room with a coffin laying in the left corner. There are a bunch of dead flowers alike all around the room, especially some roses that are pressed on the center of the coffin.
Silence laid all about. It hung in the air and moved all about. That is until the lid of the coffin popped up, making a creaking sound. It opened, revealing pale fingers with long crimson nails. They tapped against the wooden lid before soft humming rose from the one who laid inside.
Of course, Kamilla did not lay in there long after she had opened it. Mostly she lingered in there longer than normal because she was waiting to hear the rain drops pitter patter. But here she is, smiling and she practically jumps out of the coffin.
Hopefully she wasn't asleep long enough for the puddles to be gone. Jumping and stomping in rain puddles with others has always been a favorite of hers, but she doesn't like to do it when there's thunder.
Kamilla put on her shoes, wrapped a black headscarf around, then opened the door to lean out and see. It didn't seem like a lot of people were about, although there are some puddles. Maybe she could ask somebody to join her in stomping the puddles.
Name: Chikara Omori
Age: 72 (Teenager equivalent, I think)
Gender/Pronouns: Female, She/Her
Orientation: Bisexual
Appearance: Omori is small, even for a kitsune, with long legs (66 cm long and 35 cm tall). She is has mostly dark grey fur with white stripes under her eyes (not directly under, sorta like a kitsune mask), a white left paw and a white tail. Her eyes are round and bright electric blue with pupils that are a darker blue. They always seem to have a mischievous glint to them. Her fur is oftentimes messy, but not matted. Her tail is longer than most at 16 cm (without it, she's 50cm long). She's missing her top right canine and never bothered to get it replaced.
Personality: Omori is mischievous and energetic, though benevolent. She likes to taunt people and have them chase her. She's not afraid to shake things up a little and break the rules, but does have her traditions.
Species of Monster?: Kitsune (technically not a monster, but I'm sure some would regard them as such)
Powers?: Shapeshifting (though she doesn't really use it and it's less pure shapeshifting and just having multiple form. Standard Kitsunes have a humanoid form thing), Fire-Breathing (based on Kitsunebi, also known as fox fire, and a photo I saw somewhere of kitsunes breathing it. Standard flame heat, regardless of the colour; matches its user's eyes.) and standard fox abilities (not necessarily a power, but I feel like the high speed, jumping power and retractable claws were worth a mention).
Backstory?: Chikara Omori has always been an odd case. Growing up, she never really fit in with the other kitsunes. Instead, she created a group of misfits with other strange kitsunes. The group aspired to travel the world, but got disbanded heading to America when someone mistook them for a threat. All the members are still alive, but she still wonders where they are.
Weakness: She can be killed by having her heart destroyed or removed or having her tail cut off. Other things can harm her, though they cannot kill her.
Theme song(s)?: Sweet Tooth by Scott Helman (for chaotic vibes) and probably a bunch of Will Wood song (chaotic beauty)
Other: Only her friends can call her by her first name. Also, she can speak English as well as Japanese and Gaelic.
(Here's my chaotic fox child.)
(smashes fist on the table KITSUNEEEEEE)
Within a small spruce cottage (people here seem to like them) decorated with vines and wisterias, there can be found a room. It's a simple bedroom with floors coated in peat moss and a cat bed (yes, she sleeps on a cat bed) laying on a nightstand.
Chikara had gotten bored of jumping from the nightstand to the moss floor to the window sill over and over again. She'd retreated to her bed and thought of things to do. By now, she decided that she'd go out whether it was raining or not and promptly jumped out of the open window.
Noticing it wasn't that bad, she jumped around in the puddles and got mud in her fur. She could wash it off later, so it really didn't matter. She could track mud into her house, nobody cared. She'd noticed there were a few other people outside, but not that many. She found it a little strange, considering how nice the land was after a storm.
(Most of the decoration in her house is very cottagecore. More cottagecore than I'd bet anyone else would be.)
(She makes fox noises and lives in a house with moss carpeting and flowers growing in the walls.)
(Just waiting for Tired to post before I write something up again lol. No rush though!)
(scream)
(Lol again no rush, I just wanted everyone to post before I posted again lmao.)
