Marcus glanced back over at her, still smiling. It was pretty amazing to him how so much was so new to her, almost like she was straight out of a fairy tale or something. Though it was also kinda sad that she hadn't done much to experience this stuff before.
She looked at him with a small smile "what are you smiling at? "
“Just how amazing you are.” he shrugged, unsure how to put his thoughts into words and not sound like an idiot.
She shook her head and laughed a bit "your to kind really I'm not great. " she wasn't really good at receiving compliments because she'd never really gotten any not for as long as she could remember
“Well, I didn't say great, did I?” he teased. “I said amazing. And it's probably in a different way than what you're thinking… I just don't know how to explain it.” he admitted with a soft blush.
"I know but… Thank you Marcus you don't have to explain anything to me.
“Wish I could though.” he smiled gently. “But thanks for that.”
She smiled at him occasionally looking down at the bear she had I her arm it reminded her of her brother
“Can I ask you something?” he asked gently as the question came to his mind.
"Hm? Oh um yes of course what is it? "
“Well, I noticed that you've been kinda trying to hide your accent unless you get nervous or excited about something. I was just curious as to why.” he admitted.
"Oh well I just don't want to be stared at because of it when I was at the airport all people did was look at me weird when I talked even if I wasn't talking to them. "
“Oh.” he nodded. “I can understand that. But it's just because we don't hear your kind of accent around here very often. Just enough to recognize it.” he explained.
"Hm I guess it just makes me feel out of place. " she said with a shrug
Marc smiled softly and gave her hand a gentle squeeze. “You're not out of place. I mean, you are a tourist on vacation and some people are just going to know that… Don't know how that works but I've seen it.” he admitted with a shrug. “But you're not going to be out of place just because of your accent.”
She gave him a nervous smile as she looked over at him "Your sure? "
“Yeah, I'm sure.” he smiled back. “And, personally, I like your accent. It suits you.”
She blushed at the compliment and looked down at the ground "t-thank you.. Marcus. "
Marcus just smiled softly and nodded, unsure of what to say. “Just being honest.” he mumbled softly.
She smiled as well and gave his hand a light squeeze again
Marcus gave a light chuckle at the action before gently returning it.
"I know I've said it already but thank you..so much for bringing me here Marcus."
“It's no problem.” he smiled warmly. “I’m glad to bring you anywhere.” he admitted.
"I appreciate that thank you."
“Again, it's no problem.” he nodded with a little chuckle.
She took a deep breath closing her eyes she could faintly hear the waves in the distance which mad her smile
Marcus smiled softly and kept up with the line, just in case she still wanted to get on the bumper cars.
She moved with him still listening to the crashing of waves
“You ready?” he asked gently as they neared the front of the line.
She brought her attention back to Marcus her eyes opening"hm? Oh yes I'm ready." She smiled at him softly before looking to the ride
